Went there for lunch. Place was fully booked but we managed to get a table which was highly appreciated.
Service was perfect, friendly and very professional. We went for the course menu, not a lot of options for each course (3) but each dish was very good. Idiom has a lot of nice wines so I would recommend to get the wine pairing.
The place itself if absolutely stunning, and the view 😎 one of the best around Cape Town.
I will definitely be back.
We visited Idiom for lunch and the food was great. Our waiter helped us with the wine pairings for our lunch choices which was great however we were a big group and our waiter tried as best has he could to assist everyone without having to wait too long. Having an extra waiter would have helped to make the experience good but our waiter did an amazing job.
What a stunning experience. We had the canapé pairing and the boys had pizza. Their Italian style wines and MCC are outstanding. Each morsel was next level delicious. Our waitress / sommelier described each bite and sip in terms we could relate to. She was so clearly passionate about both the food and the wine. The views from up there are spectacular. It was a real treat and comes highly recommended. Top scores all round
Such a wonderful place for breakfast with the most stunning view! Don’t be hindered by the drive through the village to get there, it’s 100% worth it. Mouth watering food, really friendly service and warm people. We will be back!
We love visiting this restaurant as it is close to home here in Sir Lowry’s Pass. A long scenic drive from the main road ends at a beautiful modern building with lovely gardens and spectacular views of the mountains and over Gordons Bay and Strand. Food is always delicious, whether you eat the menu choices or pizzas. Service is friendly and waiters are knowledgeable about their wines. I can highly recommend the restaurant.
What an amazing experience. The wines are quite pricy but outstanding quality and quite unique varietals. The food is top class. To eat, my wife & I had the kudu carpaccio & mains was beef fillet and exotic mushroom risotto. But the bight was most definitely the chocolate fondant.

What a beautiful setting! Phenomenal view. Everything was of outstanding quality. Staff approachable and knowledgeable. Great meal. Now my second favourite wine estate in the area.
Amazing restaurabt with great service and great food. Were there for the breakfast service. Will definitely visit again soon, this time for lunch.
Please note: allow for extra driving time once you turn off out of Sir Lowry's Pass Town - it is a 40km/h type of drive, with lots of speed bumps, dips, two rail crossings and some single lane driving. Road is in very good condition, but the above-mentioned obviously just makes the drive a little longer, as you cannot navigate that part of the road at a normal speed.
Recently went to Idiom for breakfast followed by wine tasting. The breakfast was great, the service impeccable and the wine's delicious. It is a very modern wine farm, but has an old world feel about it. The view was exceptional. The only down side was the quite long and in some places very slow drive. Otherwise it was a great experience.
