Awesome family lunch at Cattle Baron with a stunning view! The steaks were delicious and the side dish portions were generous. We'll definitely be heading back there again. Outstanding level of service.
First time going to Cattle Baron and it was awesome! The ambiance is very welcoming and relaxing. Our waiter Donald was very attentive and polite ; also the manager Sebastian was very funny.
The food is absolutely amazing! From the starter to the mains the quality and tastes of everything was just outstanding, didnt take a photo of the starter as I cant wait to dig in 😅
Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat
Hosted a 70th birthday lunch for 20 people. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! The delicious dishes, beautiful presentation and the best ocean view. I recommend to everyone! I would definitely be back.

Decided to visit the Cattle Baron again for an early dinner with my girlfriend.
Obviously avoided the rush as it was relatively quiet, nice and quiet. Sat with a great view over the bay through the large windows. Comfortable atmosphere.
Started with a patagonian calamari tubes starter, very tasty and tender not overcooked or rubbery.
Emma had chicken livers as a starter. They were also very nice with a mild peri peri sauce. ( I think she actually had a bit of food envy after tasting my calamari !! 😂 )
Emma opted for a Strawberry Daiquiri and I had a Windhoek draught to quench the thirst.
For the main course I opted for the "Rolled Beef Promotion" and went with the escargot option. This is made up of layers of perfectly aged Rump and Sirloin rolled and cut into 120g medallions.... that's 360g of perfectly done meat for R159 !!
This was cooked exactly as I had asked, medium rare. It was amazingly delicious with the escargot and accompanying sauce.
I added onion rings, baby potatoes and veg of creamed spinach and butternut to complement the flavors.
Emma opted for a fillet steak also medium rare and it arrived done to perfection. She also had the vegetables. ( No food envy here !!)
I have to say I have always had excellent meat at this Cattle Baron.
The 360g proved to be too much for one sitting and ended up taking the balance home for later.
I can definitely recommend this place for great steaks.
I rate it 10/10 for great steaks.
One of our favorite places to go for dinner. And definitely worth the price. This time we were totally surprised with the sirloin steak and pepper seasoning and the presentation.
This was our first visit to this Cattle Baron. As always, the food was wonderful! There is a view of the sea from most seating options in the restaurant. Even though they weren't full when we visited, the service was a little slow. We had a lovely waitress though and I'm sure we'll visit again when in the area.
Lovely restaurant, clean and well managed. In addition to the normal Cattle Baron menu, there was also a buffet meal which only cost R85 per person for pensioners. Non pensioners are R99. Nice meal and well worth it.
Still one of the best places to enjoy a good steak and delicious side dishes. The lighting inside the restaurant is a bit lower than it needs to be for dinner service but all in all I can't really complain
