Review Coffee Couture - Sandton

I’ve been here a few times over the years and I must say, I have always been pleasantly surprised by the food and level of service. Last time I was there we had a half portion chicken mayo tramezini, a chicken salad, some chicken strips and coffees. Everything was great, tasted fresh and well made. I enjoy my black Americano and I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee. Not too strong or acidic. And apart from the restaurant, they also have a wide variety of sweats, drinks and necessities that one might need during a hospital visit. Overall I think this is a great spot. The quality of the food has always been great and I would probably visit it more often if it was in a shopping center instead of a hospital. Prices are also very reasonable, some things are a bit higher prices but understandable that it is a coffee shop within a hospital. Keep it up guys.

Delicious food we had the Ferrero Cake and OMG did it hit the spot. If you are a chocolate cake lover then this is the cake for you. The chips is shoe string fries that makes it easier to eat for the little one’s. The service was great Florence looked after us so well and was very attentive. The atmosphere is also good.

Had a friend in the hospital, so visited this shop several times. Great coffee and great food. Staff are friendly and always have a smile on their face,which is very refreshing in a hospital. They also have a shop section that sells gifts, snacks and other items. Came in useful a few times when I needed to get something on the run.

I have had to order from them on behalf of someone else many times and they are super lovely and accommodating

Probably the worst coffee I have ever had. Got up and left my coffee before I vomited....<br/>This is a hospital and people look for a decent drink. Wow you have no clue how bad it is

Terribly dissatisfied with the food!<br/><br/>I think more effort should be made as Coffee Couture is situated inside the Morningside Mediclinic and people visit this place as it is convenient while waiting to visit family or friends staying at the hospital.<br/><br/>I was starving and decided to catch a bite to eat, I ordered the toasted cheese and tomato which tasted awful and the latte had more than half a cup of milk 🤢<br/><br/>There is no high expectations for this place but I think more of an effort can be made especially with the food.<br/>Service is 50/50, some staff are friendly whilst some are not!<br/>

I enjoyed the rye tuna and mayo sandwich and red latte. Could just improve on the service.<br/>Shop is pricey and find that there should be much more healthy options.

Worst food. Not worth the money you pay for it. I just bought for convinience but i regret. It was better to starve. Service very poor. Noone seem to care.

I used to get food from them quite often but of late I just don't bother anymore. Service is poor, staff are disinterested, food is average and price is ridiculous.  There are other restaurants close to the hospital or bring your own if you know you are going to be there for a while.

We gotta have something here and buy from here because of convenience, firstly I received a cappuccino in a cup that wasn't cleaned properly, as a muslim client I know your menu is not halaal but we usually have vegetarian or chips but I have spoken to kitchen staff and asked him about the oil that they use to fry, and they confirmed that they fry everything in the same oil using different baskets so there is definitely contamination which puts the whole strictly veterinary thing to question.. atleast the staff are friendly. Really sad because of the large amount of muslim people and vegetarians that come to morningside mediclinic. So to all muslims and vegetarians please remember this when ordering food at this establishment<br/>Thanks

Friendly waitresses..wait for food is long..overpriced on everything..food is below average..we eat here as it's within the hospital so not out of choice..

Ridiculously overpriced for such a small cafe with such average food and in a hospital no less. R42 for a tiny chicken mayo sandwich with a few scraps of carrot in it! Nice freezochino's though.

At Morningside Mediclinic this morning, and decided to grab a chicken mayo sandwich and coffee for breakfast. I was sadly disappointed, the sandwich wasn't as it used to be, it was barely toasted, and had no flavour whatsoever. The staff don't seem that interested in the patrons and just seem to be going through the motions. Very disappointed, as I've had a lot better when I have been there previously.

It seems that coffee couture has become complacent because it has a guaranteed customer base in morning side clinic. While visiting my girlfriend I went to have a toastie and lemonade. Service was slow and both times I needed something (the bill and water) I had to flag down a waitress. The toasted chicken mayo was bland, underseasoned but being a toasted sandwich, I wasn't to worried. The chips though had the taste you get when you use old potato's. I honestly don't expect much from a coffee shop like coffee couture so I would have accepted and moved on but the iced lemonade they gave me was so sugary and strong that I had to buy a bottle of water to water it down. The touch of mint in afore mentioned drink being quite a bit more than a touch. Just very disappointing for my first meal of the day.
