Our food was delicious the music from the accordion added to the great atmosphere and Alfred our waiter was very efficient - we enjoyed a lovely meal and I can recommend them!
Verdicchio is our first choice restaurant when it comes to special occasions. We had father's day lunch there yesterday and Benedict was our waiter. His service is the best. I will not hesitate to refer friends or colleagues to Verdicchio Restaurant. World class food and excellent service! Thanks Benedict and Verdiccio Restaurant, for a delicious meal and excellent service.

The food was delicious we especially enjoyed the dock and oxtail. We swapped dishes among our party, great way to end our spa day. All that was missing was a bottle of wine
Wow, what a meal to celebrate my 50th.. Party of six were all well fed & well taken care of. Starters consisted of Haloumi, Oysters, Melanzane & a Caprese salad - if this was any indication of what was to come then we were in for a gourmet treat. The birthday boy chose their house speciality Kleftiko with the option of having it flamed in tinfoil at the table - tender, succulent & full of flavor - definitely the best you'll get to taste in Joburg. The rest of the gang enjoyed Duck, Lamb riblets, Ravioli with capers & artichokes, Salmon & Ribeye - plates went back empty which tells you something. Not forgetting their dessert selection of Vanilla ice-cream, Tiramisu, Malva pudding & Cheese cake served together with a Caramel chocolate slice. A most tasty meal was had by All!
Never knew they had a cellar. That is the place to go.

Good restaurant. Great wine selection, I think I have not seen this big wine menu. Accurate service, food can be better though, chips wr bit greesy, overall experience was good.

By far the best restaurant at Montecasino. The food is just amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful, and it has a very nice Italian feel to it. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Being unfamiliar with Montecasino I wasn't sure what exactly to expect when my partner and I walked into this Italian restaurant. Outside the hustle and bustle is a bit unpleasant but the atmosphere inside (where we asked to be seated) completely transports you to somewhere exotic.
The menus are on Ipads which I found very innovative and the content of them was just as impressive. A simple elegant menu with some real gems, there's a pasta dish flambéd in a giant wheel of cheese which will make any pasta lover wet their pants with delight and succulent chicken breasts covered in a mushroom sauce I would happily eat off of old boots
The only minor inconvenience (and truly I'm nitpicking here) was that our waiter forgot to bring us our desserts. But then again it gave us a chance to drink in the lovely vibe.
A must-do if you're in the area!
I have walked past this restaurant several times but never walked in. But finally went in last night. The atmosphere was very stylish and romantic, going to the lower level was like walking into a cellar. There is a wide variety in the menu of which was on an iPad. Food was cooked just right. Highly recommended for date night.

I loved everything about Verdicchio's, the food is simply irresistible, from cocktails to dessert.
The staff are warm, friendly and accommodating.
Unlike some places that only serve drinks from their menu, Verdicchio's will make any cocktail your heart desires 👌🏻
The pasta is so good, try and hit the gym before 😃 because you will finish it all and if you can't finish it at the restaurant be sure to take it home with you because I guarantee that you will feel for it the next day.
