Definitely worth the while... An 'impulsive' decision to come here, all based on Zomato reviews... Decor description does not match the way it looks today - it's well round off and pretty classy.
Food was good, however beware that if you are not used to Durban, order hot, and you will probably die.
I had the bunny chow and will probably be eating the leftovers for the rest of the week. I was advised by the waiter (a friendly but stern chap) that these are not to be eaten with a knife and fork. This I found both patronising and encouraging at the same time.
Prawn curry lives up to what has been said about it.

The food is tasty and the service is friendly! We ordered the lamb curry, Prawns curry and the Butter chicken ! Their fresh samoosa was delicious too. Their butter chicken was a good choice for my 10 year old, but a bit too much spices for my daughter!

This place was recommended to us. The curries were as good as you’re going to taste anywhere. We had the lamb and prawn curries. Both were excellent. The choice of wines was good and the service was good. Will be back.

Boasting incredible views of the sea, an eclectic bar, groovy dancefloor and an outside wooden balcony/terrace, the vibe of this fine establishment is lively, friendly, and electric. I have not one but many favourite dishes here including the butter chicken curry, prawn curry and mutton bunny (with scrumptious gravy-soaking potatoes)! The half moons are next level and always keeps me coming back for more. The waiters and staff are extremely welcoming and they make everyone feel at home...a very classy home at that! 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone! Fine dining at its ultimate best!
Food was fantastic! Had the Lamb curry and butter chicken which is served with rice, sambals and popadums. Popadums are light and fresh (not like what you get in JHB), the Lamb curry was absolutely delicious. Typical Durban curry, melt in your mouth meat, heat was good. The butter chicken not like what you get in JHB, was tasty and still yummy!
Would definitely recommend Impulse by the sea. Yummmmm
