Had a stunning late lunch...early supper there yesterday! I really wanted sole...not only the menu...but NO problem...Paul got a sole from display & voila!! Delicious...nice atmosphere...good value for money...will always go back.

Do yourself a favour- this place is a gem! The fish and seafood is so fresh... We live close by so we pop by at least once or twice a month and honestly the quality is always top notch! That being said- do not expect 5 star quality service. I'm pretty sure they started off as a quaint fish shop where you can buy fresh fish, expanded to a Portuguese-style take-away place, added a few tables and now they are a booming mini restaurant. We ordered the my fish platter (about R280) and it was more than enough for 3 people!

First Impressions
As you approach the restaurant you notice a few chairs and tables outside but this looks more like a store than a restaurant. Once you enter there is a variety of different fish for sale and a few more tables to sit at. You are approached very quickly by a friendly waitress so the first impressions of this restaurant is good.
The Decor
The decor is very minimalistic but does the job. It gives you the sense of being in a old restaurant with its designs.
The Menu
There is a good variety of dishes to choose from on the menu but as the name of the restaurant says this is mainly know for its fish. There is also a variety of meats if you are not feeling for fish.
The Food Itself
I wanted the best of both worlds so I decided to go with the surf and turf which is a steak and 4 queen prawns. It comes in a garlic dressing so be prepared for bad breath the following day. The food was great tasting but the only downside was my steak came well done when I asked for medium.
Final Thoughts
If you want great fish at a reasonable price then look no further than My Fish.

My Fish was recommended by another foodie Andre + his Mom.
We went yesterday afternoon to find out what the deli / eatery was all about, thinking we could get something small for lunch.
It felt like we were sitting at the old corner Greek cafe in 1977.
We ordered the prawn curry and picked a box of prawns which we got them to prepare with chips at an addition surcharge of R45. The prawn curry was well presented and really delicious, a slightly different flavour to what I've had. The prawns were grilled to perfection. We also ordered the cream spinach and it was one of the best I've tasted. That was a total surprise which I did not expect. Nothing small about this lunch. But very tasty.
We tried the olives from the deli and bought some to take home as well.
You can buy and take home everything that you eat there even the awesome little amaretti heaven in the mouth biscuits served with your coffee plus the coffee.
Fiancé had to try the Portuguese beer Super Block.
The waitresses are not trained as you would find in a proper restaurant but friendly and very helpful with all our requests and questions and by the time we left she was selling us the shop.

A hidden gem. Amazing concept Love the fact that you can choose your fresh piece of fish calamari and wait for it to be cooked and served. While you wait you can shop in their deli for the best Portuguese olive oils chilli and olives. Unbelievable seared tuna and calamari. Owner is so friendly. My new favourite fish spot
For fish & seafood, this place is unbeatable. And packed most evenings! Choose what you fancy from the fresh fish slab & the kitchen will turn it into a feast. Don't go there for anything but fish & chips - the salads are not interesting although I believe the fried chicken is great - take your own wine & splurge the savings on their excellent cappuccino. Wonderful Portuguese food, fresh & frozen fish and a super deli. They do take-always too! Best kept secret in the West

The service is good. Options are very big, especially if you want to pick fish from the variety of fresh foods that they sell. The shop have a big variety of deli food as well.

This place is an absolute hidden gem!! The food is fantastic! The prices are excellent for what you get and the staff is very friendly. My fish has a great future ahead of them. All they missing is a modern touch and some TV's for sport, but it's a cozy space. Definitely give them a try.
I had my 50th birthday celebration here on Saturday and absolutely had the best day. This place was so accommodating, the waiters all so friendly and the food exceptional. Special mention to Terence our waiter that attended to all our needs with a smile. Best seafood restaurant around. Highly recommended.

This is a no fuss uncomplicated restaurant located within a fish shop.
The flavors used to prepare the food were authentically portugese.

A fresh, perfectly cooked seafood meal every single time. They stock fresh and frozen fish, as well as a selection of Portuguese merchandise too. Amazing Chilli and tartar sauces. Fresh hake cooked the way you like is a highly recommended option. Fabulous place 👌
My Fish is an excellent seafood monger with the most knowledgable and friendly staff. I love buying frozen or fresh prawns from MY FISH, their seafood is the freshiest and Tasties in johannesburg. They also have a restaurant on site that I've only heard good things about. Really keen to try it out in the very near future
One of the best meals affordable and sooo fresh.
You choose your fish prawns or any seafood you desire.. they cook it for you there you add your side of your choice and viola the best meal ever!! We also had calamari which was soooo incredible. We've been so many times and each time it gets better and better 😌 can't wait to go again.
Date night….What a lovey restaurant, menu has a nice variety, steak, chicken, fish (melts like butter in your mouth ), curry and a whole lot more...food is so tasty and fresh. Staff friendly and efficient. A must visit. You can also buy fresh fish and all kinds of goodies 👍👍thumbs up to this one.

Best Services, professional and Friendly staff. Best Fresh Quality you can find. It's like you are at the coast. Fisherman doc, offload Fresh caught seafood. You pick what you like. Food is cooked there and then.. wow!
Don't forget, you can also buy fresh produce and cook at home.
Great food, excellent customer service, you can select your own piece of fresh fish or any seafood sold in store and they can prepare it for you at a fantastic price. Will visit soon again.
