Delicious authentic food with lovely caring owner

I thoroughly enjoyed the food, and very tasty. I had a taste of Thailand in Joburg. It's quite hidden and easy to miss, I suggest more signage to attract more customers. It's definitely worth trying out.

Wonderful dinner with some of the friendliest staff you will find. Food was mostly excellent except for one rather mushy rice dish. Decor and table settings are nothing to write home about, but overall I am delighted to recommend Thai Elephant.

Surely the best Thai restaurant in Joburg! Family run, traditional dishes and friendly service. As close to the real deal you can get without flying to Thailand. Dine here often with friends - always impresses!

After spending few weeks in Thailand, fell in love with the culture and the food. I have looked for the close to perfect pad Thai, and this restaurant is close to that. The pad Thai is very good. The manager was very friendly. You go to eat there or for take away. The decor or the position is not the best. Worth the try!

While this place might be difficult to find it’s SO worth it! Real, authentic and delicious Thai food. The panang, tom yum and pad thai were amazing! Highly recommended spot.
