This was probably the best wine tasting experience I have had. The farm and owner (Kobus) have the philosophy that wine is not about the awards, points or being told it is one of the best wines, but rather the "personal experience" you have when drinking it. This shone through from the time we walked through the door to when we left and Kobus personally packed our purchases in the car - the personal experience was fantastic. Lizaan from their laboratory, took us through the most interesting and interactive tasting experience and entertained us with anecdotes of the farm which we loved.
The Deetlefs Familie White is my absolute favourite and Kobus was kind enough to share a bottle with us while we learnt more.

Came for the wine tasting. First time since covid started, so great to see them open again. Such charming people. Philip Deetlefs has created some great wines and is happy to talk with wine lovers. Beautiful farm and the Ridgeback hounds happily greet all visitors. I'll be back for more soon.
We did a wine tasting today and the lady did the tasting was extremely knowledgeable, I would definitely come back just because of her friendly service and warm reception. The wine was amazing as well!

This estate is pretty, neat and the folk that welcome you are super friendly. The wines though are a bit pricy, but I won't lie, they have a fantastic Pinotage and Malbec. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful views surround the Estate with friendly staff on hand to help with your wine tasting experience or just look in the window as the techs analyse the product, all very interesting for the uninitiated. Wine is of course also on hand and with a quick lesson in pairing, you might just leave with a box or two.
