This pizzeria was recommended to us by a local and man it hit the spot! It was absolutely incredible and fit the hype! The line looks long though they are very fast! It took us 2 min to get out order, we were dining in. Came with a baby and they were very helpful and sweet with our daughter. The price is unbelievable, pizza is €5.50. There are 4 kinds , tho they are all very good! Highly highly recommend, and definitely coming back for more tomorrow.
They are open till 23:00 , take cash or card
I have been a big pizza fan all my life, but after having just a bite from this pizzeria I got to know what I was missing. A must try for everyone visiting Naples. It justifies the origin of pizza the best. On top of it it's vegetarian!!!!! Super happy with the taste and freshness of the flavours that would keep lingering on your palate for long! Be prepared to wait for 2 hours!
Lives up to the hype! Delicious pizza
Had to wait for a while but it was worth it.
Great pizza - no frills.
One thing to note is that you can get drinks from the bars around while you wait. However, if you go and sit down at those bars, they will get the pizza for you!
Our visit to this legendary and renowned restaurant was truly impressive. The unusually long queue at the entrance, compounded by the rainy weather, prompted us to opt for a takeout pizza. It arrived surprisingly quickly, and the pizza itself was exceptionally delicious, making the wait worthwhile (as long as it's not raining). I highly recommend it!
5 stars aren’t enough! First of all go there when they open so you won’t wait a long time, we waited for about two hours and I would wait 4 hours for the pizza they make. When you get there you should tale a number from the guy that is standing outside and wait in the line for your turn, there are two lines one for takeaway and for dining in the restaurant, I recommend you to eat there it was worth it.The restaurant is big, so authentic and beautiful, the atmosphere is indescribable, also the staff are so kind. They have only 3 pizzas on the menu which I loved! It costs 5€ each which was cheap, and the taste is from heaven. One of the best experiences and best pizzas we had in our lives. Also, Julia Roberts was there to film her movie Eat, pray, love..
Naples, birth place of margarita pizza! This place has been serving pizzas since the 1800s, and the hype is real! The queue starts to build up from 11 am for dine in. You will receive a token as you arrive but be prepared to wait for minimum an hour on the shorter side! The wait is definitely worth it. They have kept things simple with a choice of just three pizzas and one half and half, but their margarita is the best one! Service is good and staff friendly. Wash your pizzas down with a bottle of Coke! For just 5 euros, the pizza is quite large, filling and absolutely delicious! This place is a short walking distance from the main train station! Enjoy your time in Naples!
Crowded, noisy, the incredibly long line, but definitely worth!
At 4 pm the lane was huge. There are two different on the right for pickup and in the middle of the door there is a guy that gives you a number for table inside.
We had to wait 40 minutes but with a ticket in hand we spend some time nearby so the wait wasn’t a pain.
You can order only 4 types of pizzas, all simple but super tasty.
I think it’s worth to try the place where the Neapolitan pizza was born (-:
How can you come to Napoli and not try the pizza from here?
That’s the one most repeated recommendation we got from everyone.
We had to wait in the queue for about 40 minutes to order the pizza for takeout. They cooked it very fast, around 10 minutes. If you want to sit inside there is a separate queue for that.
Was it worth the wait? Yes! The pizza was easy to say one of the best ones I have tried. The dough was thin, the sauce was delicate and the cheese was fresh.
I really liked that they only had 2 pizzas on the menu (marinara and margherita) so that you can really taste the simplicity and deliciousness of the pizza.
Also a bonus point for them is for keeping the prices down!
Overall, of course there are a lot of other great pizzerias in Napoli, but this place still remains a must go for everyone visiting!
The best pizza I ever had. Very tasty and delicious. The fact that they kept only the original 2 types of pizza and the prices so low it makes everything better.
Dough was incredible good and the size is big.
I would definitely recommend even though the waiting time is long.
Absolutely a must when you’re in Naples!!! Eat, pray, love really did a great job with their research before having made the movie.
Despite the fact that thousands of people come here everyday, they do have a really organized system: line up to take away or take the number to dine in.
RECOMMENDED: take number to dine in!!
You can come and take your number. Instead of waiting outside, just go to the old town or some places near by for a spritz for like half an hour or so and then come back, your table will be ready for you.
Even though it’s super crowded from the outside, once you’re in the pizzeria, it’s very calm and clean. Fast service and of course, one of the best pizzas you have ever eaten. I can guarantee that!
