My favorite little place in Pretoria. Fresh food and decent portions. The tacos and chicken waffles are definitely a must! I wish I could eat there everyday.
Great tasting burgers & pizza - service is mostly quick if you there at the right time...and for a bonus they also deliver with UberEATS if we don't feel like driving 😄

Food is delicious, if a bit pricey. I've had a burger and the pulled pork taco, and my boyfriend the vegetarian pizza. All the food is beautifully prepared.

This is a nice little take away place if you love in the area or passing by.
Lots of good options and vegetarians aren't excluded.
Had the Vegetarian Tacos and it was excellent. A bit too much onion, but good overall. Will definitely try the burgers sometime.
There is seating, but it's outside on pub benches. The kitchen is in a shipping container, but looks decent and clean from where I could see.
Arcade Empire right next door so there are lots of people there from the club side also getting food so it must be fresh.
Oh my word! That is all I can say.... Best ever burgers! I was totally amazed with the quality. We did wait about an hour for our food, but it was worth it, they were extremely busy. I had the beef sliders, the presentation was amazing and it tasted out of this world. I will definately return for the food, I want to try the pizzas, they look amazing too. Well done to the chef/s! I can highly recommend the food at Arcade Empire, you wont be disappointed!
I was very pleasantly surprised! The menu is not the same as uploaded here, it's even better! The pizza's are huge rectangles loaded with fresh ingredients and the burgers were really great! We had sliders (R70), and could choose our toppings for each. Overall a nice vibe and a fun way to end off a long week at the office. It got very busy later in the evening so I'd recommend you book a table and go early enough.
I only ever really come here when it's super busy due to a big event. Thus I've only actually tried their food once. In terms of a venue it's a great place, the theme is really cool and there's plenty of space even though it fills up quickly.
I wasn't expecting much when I ordered food from here. Their poppers sound delicious but unfortunately they didn't have a bacon-free option for me. We got a bunch of pizza pockets for the table and I got a pizza. The food was really good especially since I wouldn't have expected much from it. They added some elements to a simple margarita to make it more interesting. The prices are also very fair.
We always come back for the great atmosphere and the great events that they have.
Thanks to Pig & Rant for letting us know that boxcar now takes care of the food here. I'm glad to hear they still have vegetarian options available on the menu.
Boxcar Deli is a true gem in the heart of food for Arcade Empire. With a great variety of food which includes Philly cheese steak rolls, pizzas, burgers and even chicken waffles. I would recommend the lunch time special, buy one get one free on everything on the lunch menu. The venue itself is great with a variety of things to do and caters for every music lover.

The croft burger here was fantastic. Made with fresh beef patty and a crispy sesame seed bun with a red wine onion jam.. Like this just did it for me. I kinda like this place for a Wednesday mid week kinda beer and quick sit down for delicious food and great company.
Firstly, 65 Randelas for the steak and a halfliter beer is already a championship combination! Steak was a bit on the tough side, but atill very delicious granted the basting. The mini burgers for a starter was amazing, tasty combinations within the burger with small but juicy patty! I had a fun time, great atmosphere, great people!!
