I went to Der Zucker Backer this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday morning brunch.
The staff were polite, friendly and attentive, despite having a number of impolite and picky customers on their hands.
I had the chicken pie with potato salad and my companion had the chicken burger and chips. We both enjoyed out meals immensely. The chicken burger and pie were well-cooked, juicy and delicious. I found the potato salad to be an interesting recipe - it was warm and had a sour taste to it.
This restaurant is a must for all those who love fresh food and of course the amazing confectionary items.
My newesr favourite place! The food is amazing, freshly prepared and yummy! The baked goods are from heaven. Carien is 1 of the most friendly, warm and hospitible hosts I have come across in a long time. I will most definitely become a regular.
This is a really good place. I raced in for take-away coffee while handling a stressful job, and got the warmest and most personal welcome, with personalised coffee recommendations (Bon Bomb!). I'll be taking my family back for breakfast as soon as I can.
VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! Just about floating after months of meaning to go check out this place after many people suggested , I'd finally made the visit , being greeted by the warm welcoming staff & after my eyes had seen all the amazing baked goodies , I'm more than satisfied on how delicious and tasty there goodies are , Definitely could not leave without some treats for home .

Der Zucker Backer is the perfect spot for business lunches. The service is good without being intrusive.
The food is well presented and tasty. And they also have a small German deli.
They have been in Pretoria for many years.
The venue is really neat and nice.
Never ate at a German bakery before was nice staff was friendly maybe need a little bigger meat salection but otherwise had a blast there and will definitely be going back sooon
Awsome food great survive nice syle the staff if friendly had a great breakfast followed buy an amazing cake called a bee sting mmmm definitely coming back here

I popped into this bakery for a quick bite to eat in between meetings. I ordered the chicken mayo sandwich and it was delish. Good portion size but a bit pricey.
Everyone is friendly on arrival , food is fast and the coffee is perfect !!' The breads are fresh And really cheap !!!! They have a variety of classic desserts and pastries ! All of them look so good , they habe free wifi and breakfast and lunch is served here . The place is reAlly clean and neat. The food was good and well priced . You can sit outside on the deck or inside . I recommend this place !
