The best chicken schnitzel in Pretoria; Hawaiian burgers are delicious. Pizzas are generously covered with toppings, and very tasty. Very reasonably priced, definitely value for money.

It's not an everyday feeling where one tries out a roadhouse in Pretoria. However when you do get that roadhouse feeling, Lollipop Roadhouse is a contender.
Firstly one needs to overlook their 19footsack decor and paint. The minute my car switched off a waitress appeared at my window with the pamphlet. When I asked how long it would take to get my food , she said " 5 minutes "
Prices are reasonable, and I opted for a dagwood and chips. I swopped my ham for some bacon, and was highly impressed with the sandwich. The chips was a perfect slap golden brown. To my surprise this was received within the " 5 minutes "
Lollipop Roadhouse served a tasty meal and I will be back to try something else!
Whether you drive through or order in, you'll never go wrong with Lollipop road house. It's a must that you try the burgers. My wife loves their ribs. Great service and reasonable prices.
Lollipop Roadhouse has been around for ages. I was introduced to this establishment by my parents, as they were by theirs.
I must be a 100% honest and disclose that I am not the biggest fan of roadhouses, as the idea of eating in my car is not very appealing to me and most of the roadhouses I have been to, doesn't have the best facilities to eat at, but...... I have a tendency to support this particular one, every time I am hungry, in the area and in the mood for takeaways.
The portions of their food is huge and real value for money. The service isn't always great, as the most staff doesn't even pretend to be happy, but still the food is always delivered within minutes.
Lollipop is still one of the few places in town who does proper "slap chips" and their chicken schnitzel is always a winner. They are also quite famous for the milkshakes and soft-serve ice cream.

They are so cheap and their burgers are so tasty! Ordered with Mr delivery and I was so impressed!! They can definitely give Spur a run for their money.
Yes, the idea of a roadhouse in modern times sounds dodgy, but Lollipop Roadhouse is one of the few that managed to maintain a good standard. I obviously wouldn't recommend a roadhouse to health junkies, but Lollipop's proper "slap chips" are well worth the cheat. The portions are generous and apparently the russian sausages are delicious. Not the type of place I'd like to visit often, but worthwhile every now and again.
Always come here for dome good ol' takeaway. Their family pizza is huge and so damn good. It's a must try. Also their chilli sauce on chips are good and the price fits anyone especially at the end of the month!
They must be doing something right, since the place has been around for decades. Had my first burger again, in about 30 years, and it certainly brought back good memories. Food is ok‘sh and the service as well…wouldn’t really go out of my way to eat there, but if you’re in the area and it’s a roadhouse you’re looking for, it’s not a bad option.

Opting for their homestyle meals, I indulged in the chicken schnitzel and the beef roast. The quality and flavors exceeded my expectations, and the portions were more than generous—I was left thoroughly satisfied. In fact, the food was so incredible that I polished off both servings.
I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly, but the service was also prompt and efficient.
My girlfriend and I ordered the Homestyle Roast Beef and Chicken Schnitzel meals. Everything was delicious, the carrots were sweet, the green beans were great, the gravy was awesome and the meals were very filling. Great value for money. We had a Kit Kat milkshake while we waited and it was excellent. Speedy service, good quality. Will definitely visit more often.

This roadhouse is a real gem. Service was great, burgers were great, and the pizzas pretty good too. Milkshakes were tasty and ending off with softserve sugar cones a treat. Don't pass them if you in the facility!
Had another ice cream today. I chose a chocolate soft serve in a cup. It was a lovely treat in the heat. I noticed more staff eager and ready to assist. Sit down area very clean and noticed the wheelchair ramp for the first time. So definately crutch and wheelchair friendly!
A family favourite for many years and they still has good food and value for money. Very nice roadhouse atmosphere especialy after the recent upgrades. We love it!
Good Food , fast service and the convenience of dining traditionally in your car or having a seat at one of their tables . I really like their caramel diped icecream.
Been going here since i was 5 years old. The place seems to be under new ownership again since my last visit a few years ago, the menu seems to be a mix of the same old greats you would get here like pizza, beef stew,potato skins and grilled meats and some new expansions on those items. Glad to see they still offer a sunday lunch as this was a family fav back in the day. The food was tasty and seemed fresh, and the sitting area seems to be well maintained now. All and all will go back again
Always nice visiting Lollipop. It's our Sunday night thing going there. Always good service, friendly staff. Always get what we want. Food are good at a reasonable price. You can sit in your car or outside. We once had a problem with a beggar disturbing us, but not always a problem.
