Machics is a really cool chill place for after work with a relaxing atmosphere water sprayers if you need to cool off. You can choose to sit inside or on the balcony for some fresh air.
I thoroughly enjoyed my food here, as well as the service. I also had a cocktail or two and they weren't too bad as well.
Can't wait for another visit here.
Very casual atmosphere. Great place to catch up with friends.
The food is great and the service is excellent too.
I had lunch here, and chose a sirloin with vege and a baked potato. The meat was cooked to perfection, vege too. I was also impressed that there was more than enough sour cream for my potato. Service was also attentive. All in all a very pleasant experience
The food is definitely a winner. It’s a nice place to go with friends to have a few drinks and watch whatever sport is on. They have good specials on certain days and the jalapeño poppers are my favourite.
Tonight was my second visit to Machics - within two weeks. The first time I had their Beef & Guinness pie, which was excellent. Monika, the waitress, was friendly and attentive.
Tonight I had the ribeye steak, which I ordered medium. It arrived medium rare and wasn’t hot. The baked potato was well cooked and served with tons of sour cream. Nice. Vegetables were really good too. After a few bites, I asked the waiter to ask the kitchen to place my steak back on the grill for five minutes. When it returned, it was perfectly cooked, hot and with their great basting. What really impressed me however, was that they had replaced the baked potato, sour cream and veggies, with ‘new’ ones! That is remarkable considering not many restaurants do that.
Well done to the waiter and management and Chefs, for a Great experience. I’ll definitely go back there.

The craft beer menu is quite good & this place has a nice vibe. The prices are also quite reasonable. I had been here before & really enjoyed the food. Previously I had tried the baskets (always a winner), the chicken (not the "best in PTA" but really good nonetheless & the pork chops (which are now off the menu unfortunately).
The last time I went the food was not put to scratch at all. For a starter my husband had the chicken livers which were ok but were served with old stale rolls. I had the flaming chorizo which was not flaming at all!! The waiter brought it to the table, poured brandy over it & tried to light it without success... epic FAIL! So I ended up with chorizo covered in brandy & stale old rolls. The chorizo itself was good though. I got to try someone else's ribs, the sauce is nice but there was very little meat & mainly just bones. For a main my husband & I had the triplet burgers (3 mini burgers with different toppings / sauces). These were quite good but you can't really mess up a burger & I would say the burgers there are the safe option - they seem pretty good.
It seems the standard has gone down a bit so I won't be rushing back.
Started this month off with a client lunch and I asked him to choose the venue. Needless to say he chose this venue and he told me to come hungry. The food is what you would expect for a pub lunch and it's tasty to top it off. Only small complaints was that the chicken was dried out but the lovely chilly sauce made up for it a bit. Don't expect fine dining and eating with your hands can be forgivable. Not a place for kids as the crowd can be a bit noisy but certainly worth a try if you are not looking for anything fancy.
Machics is the place to be when you are feeling hungry for an old school chicken flatty and chips! They have great flavours and sides the menu is quite large and vast, giving great variety to choose from. They have good craft beer on tap as well as all the old school stuff! Great place for a take away or sit down and have a beer with mates after a long day at work.
An excellent and large variety of craft beers available. The food is also very good, the babotie is highly recommended. A good spot for some after work drinks
We where invited on a tour of the SAB Rosslyn brewery. We where told to meet here before and they would provide lunch when we returned.
We arrived to great service from the staff. They had arranged platters be brought out. The platters where really the best. I have not had platters at a pub that are at the level.
They really put effort in and great portions.
The menu looked great I will sample it on my next visit
