I have been coming here for years and the food has always been excellent if a bit pricey. Definitely the best Indian food in Pretoria. PS. Bring back the Slanghoek Chenin Blanc!

We avoided this venue due to a bad experience a few years ago. This time everyone was super friendly and the owners / managers regularly checked on everyone to make sure that everyone was happy and well looked after. The food is wonderfully aromatic and spicy. A bit pricy, but well worth a visit for a special occasion.

Excellent Indian restaurant. Huge amount of vegan options. I visited this restaurant about 8 years ago and on my recent trip to Pretoria I had an opportunity to go there again. The food was outstanding. They only had one vegan dessert option. It was a bit pricey, but very enjoyabke. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed the most wonderful experience at Namaskar!! Excellent service, amazing food, such a beautiful restaurant and decor......I feel it is a hidden gem!! Unassuming from the outside, stunning inside. The generous portions of food was so beautifully presented and was just so delicious, flavourful and amazing! We can absolutely recommend this restaurant. We will definitely return and work our way through the extensive, generous menu.

I visited this place for lunch , The inside looks decorative and beautiful but prices are much higher Like eating at an Indian airport price Outside food is not allowed by the restaurant. Means if you visited with a group of your friends only one person wants to eat his favourite food from another shop/restaurant or own home food not allowed. In that case my personal opinion is not to visit this type of restaurant because the customers have minimal choice. In terms of price there are many good indian restaurants that serve the same food for half the price. Example: Restaurant name: Taste of Punjab sunninghill This restaurant is famous for quality, quantity, service and price. I am not a fan of Taste of Punjab restaurant But i can recommend it because of their service, price and taste.

The decor is beautiful and classy. Amazing Indian aesthetic. The staff are attentive. We were fortunate to have had no other patrons around so maybe we were lucky. The food was delicious, we were extremely satisfied. We are vegetarian for the month so had the Punjabi samoosas and onion & potato pakoras for starters. The mint chutney and accompanying sauce were amazing. The pastry on the samoosa was quite thick and doughy however the batter on the pakoras were light and crisp. We had the Namaskar dum breyani, Dhal Tatka and Paneer Makhni for mains. Both the curries came with basmati rice but we opted to add a butter naan and chilli garlic naan. Everything was spectacular. The Dhal Tarka and breyani paired really well and the Paneer was soft with a rich, creamy gravy. For desserts we had the chai with Kulfi and Shrikandt desserts. Both were creamy but a bit too sweet. Will definitely be a hit if you have a sweet tooth. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful decor. There is a section for small parties. The bar area is well stocked with a huge selection of alcohol and there is a separate wine room. The food was REALLY delicious. Everything that the adults ordered was lovely. Sadly there is no children's menu with limited options for children. On advice from the waitress, I ordered the butter chicken for my son, I mentioned to the waitress that it is for the child and it must be super mild- with no chilly at all. Sadly, the meal was too spicy and my son ate the plain rice. Dhall, salad and pickle are not included with the breyani. The restaurant is on the second floor but is wheelchair friendly with access via stairs or elevator. The food is extremely pricey but all the adults enjoyed our meals. Due to the prices, I feel like this restaurant is more for special occasions rather than regular meals.

Amazing food, super tasty. Price might be a little high but the quality and freshness of the food are well worth it. The restaurant is so peaceful and calming as well. Everything is clean and tidy. Expect to pay around R250 for a meal. This is a must try restaurant.

Namaskar is our favourite North Indian restaurant. The food quality and choice are excellent, and they have a well-stocked bar. The staff are knowledgeable regarding the menu, and are attentive but not intrusive. There is usually a small crowd and therefore it is quiet. Curry anywhere in SA is pricey, so an evening here is for special occasions - and when we have guests, and Namaskar is always a hit. You must try the tandoori garlic Naan bread, and the brown roti. Vindaloo and Rogan Josh are my go-to mains, while my partner likes butter chicken and vegetarian dishes. Food here has never disappointed. Plus there is plenty of (free) parking, which is lekker. I can never understand big malls who charge customers for parking per hour. Sure, there is security, but how many of us pay a car guard R30-40? Namaskar makes for a pleasant night out, indeed. A highly recommended establishment.

The food at Namaskar was very good, and the service was excellent. The layout of the restaurant is good, and there is ample seating. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed. The owners are present and show genuine interest and their restauran. The menu is very expansive, and there should be something for most tastes on the menu.
