I booked a table for 6, two adults and 4 kids to celebrate my husband's birthday yesterday, the food was excellent, my fillet medium steak was to die for, my king's T-bone was super perfect, the service that we got from Tebogo was on point, our kids loved the desert. We definitely coming back for more. Thank you for making my mans birthday extra special.
Great atmosphere! Excellent service received by Petrus. The food was exquisite and I'll recommend The Hussar Grill in a heart beat. They do not charge corkage so do bring your favourite wine but they do have a very large selection of wines available. We were spoiled with extras and enthusiastic service. THG is currently our number one spot to dine in Pretoria.
Absolutely wonderful service and food. Will recommend this place to anyone. Not a big fan of the decor and the Castle lite draught machine was off but some of the best food in Pretoria!!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed all our meals. We had the lamb chops and fillet steak. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted even better. Will definitely be going back

The selection of wine is amazing.
My dear wife spoiled me with an amazing birthday treat at your grill last night. The Blue Cheese Sirloin was tender and juicy just as I ordered it and my dear spouse commented that her Carpetbagger was the best and most tasty fillet ever. The waitering was cordial and professional. The background music was what it was meant to be and allowed us to have a normal conversation. It was a lovely experience and we certainly recommend it for an relaxing evening out.
Steak, wine amazing. What I loved the most is the impeccable service & ambiance. Definitely will be getting more visits from me. It's classy.
Delicious food and good service. I love the décor of the Hussar. We visited the Cap Town branch during winter and discovered the house speciality martini...chocholate vodka martini, try it😀

Should be a firm favorite in Pretoria East! The decor, service, food are all great.
I ordered the Diemersdal Shiraz for the table and it was really well received (to the last drop!) I had the Springbok Carpaccio with parmesan and balsamic reduction as a starter, a good balance of sweet and salty. My fellow diners had the Fried Crumbed Camembert and Tomato Soup, both with only positive comments. This was followed by the Fillet Moutarde (medium) with fried potatoes and onion rings. The mustard sauce was very creamy and a little less mustardy than I would have preferred, but still very good. My fellow diners had the Hussar Carpetbagger (medium) - a repeat favorite, which elicited the comment that this "was the best steak he's ever had".
The service was attentive and friendly, never having to look around for service as had been a problem on a previous occasion. Management is clearly running a very tight ship!
The ambiance is lovely, with leather-bound books and old wine boxes on display. It's wonderfully comfortable, with a breezy atmosphere.
Quality food, exceptionally prepared, combined with outstanding service with a personal touch. The host, Peet and the Hussar team went out of their way to ensure my fiancé and her bridesmaids had an awesome time. Thank you.

Some of the best Meat Selections and with a Amazing Wine list what more can one ask for. Wet or Dry aged is not on every menu but here u have it all. Amazing time out. Thank u!!
