Our stay in Cycads on Sea was great. We had the Giraffe room, a nice room that provided us with everything we needed. The name of the room was visible in a lot of aspects. Miniature Giraffes in sorts and sizes that gave the room a personal touch. Breakfast was served tailormade and was great. We only stayed for one night but we highly recommend Cycads on Sea.
Amazing stay! Dee and Richard are the perfect hosts: welcoming, funny, full of wit and stories, and genuinely interested in their guests. For us, it felt like staying with good friends. Their guest house is beautifully situated in St. Francis Bay, a very charming seaside town. The rooms are individually appointed, immaculate and well equipped. The breakfast with home-made bread and yoghurt is also very good and made with love. A great experience which we liked so much that we even extended our stay. Highly recommended!
The hosts (Richard and Dee) at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The best Guesthouse I've ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. The hosts were nicest hosts I have ever encountered at a guesthouse.They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door.
They also were able to recommend places to get any type of meal that we needed as well.breakfast was scrumptious
Stunning town and equally awesome place. Richard and Dee make you feel comfortable with their warmth and hospitality.
Pity that we could stay more than one night here. The rooms are extremely comfortable, well equipped and have a touch of home. The breakfast is amazing with a dash of humour.

We wholeheartedly enjoyed our 3nights stay at Cycads on Sea. The hosts Richard (Who doubles as the chef) & Dee (the waitress) made our stay unforgettable. Travelling with a baby they went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
There are so many great things to say about this accommodation: The amazing breakfast by Richard with homemade bread and yoghurt, clean sheets, towels, toiletries and rooms cleaned everyday, the gowns :), the heated blankets, the location and overall guest experience was simply amazing. We will definitely recommend to all.
Also the hosts are happy to recommend where to go, where/what to eat etc.
We don't visit the same place twice but we know we would love to come back to St.Francis and stay here again for sure.
We have no regrets except we didn't stay longer.

Staying at Cycads on Sea was an absolute joy. Hospitable, passionate and very friendly hosts. Amazing breakfast, beautiful rooms and a very nice location of the guest house. St Francis bay itself is a must visit destination on the coast.
We had a fantastic stay at Cycads. Rooms a very comfy, the breakfast is amazing, and Dee & Richard are the best hosts. It is situated perfectly in St Francis, and there are a handful of restaurants, cafes, shops and sites on your doorstep- perfect location to explore the area. We will definitely return! We loved our stay at Cycads on Sea - it’s a very unique guesthouse with super clean and spacious rooms and the best breakfast makers (you‘ll feel like having the best breakfast on a weekend at home as Dee’s and Richard’s breakfast includes handpicked and homemade products and a super private surrounding where you simply have to feel comfy.)
From our perspective Cycads on Sea is highly recommended for families but we also met couples or single travellers - there is enough space for everyone and every need.
We stayed for 3 nights during our travels with our two boys (4 and 6 yrs) and all of us loved the opportunities and games at the accommodation just as much as all the family friendly beaches and surroundings.
If you are into sports - ask Dee and Richard for some „lekker trails“ - they know every corner around St. Francis.
We‘ll definitely book again when returning to beautiful RSA.
A lovely warm welcome from Richard and Dee who have refurbished the whole guest house, giving each suite its own personality and charm. We had every comfort in our spacious room, a view of the bay and of some bird life from the window, and we were served a delicious breakfast the next morning. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, and we thoroughly recommend this special place.
