We love curry. It's our favourite food. After going to Bombay Chilli for the first time 2 years ago, we haven't been able to enjoy curry anywhere else. It truly is the absolute best little restaurant with incredible food. It's not a fancy, classy vibe, so if you're into that jazz don't come to Bombay. It's relaxed, laid back and vibey.
A colleague had.mentioned how great Bombay chilli was, so we chose them when in the mood for a quick and inexpensive take out. We ordered a lamb and a chicken curry. One was a Korma, the other a vindaloo-can't remember which was which! The curry was okay, and the laacha paratha was buttery and delicious.
Not the best curry I've ever had, but decent at its price point.
Just had a takeaway from Bombay Chilli via Mr Delivery. It was my first meal from the place. I had the Kadai paneer curry. It was so so so delicious!!! One of those meals that you don't want to ever end because the flavours are so amazing. And my order arrived 15 mins ahead of schedule as well. Will definately eat here again!
When you're in cpt and that Indian food craving has got you then I say go to this place. Sure the deco and ambiance is a bit outdated, at least the music is good ranging from all the golden oldies and some Zack Knight - that already put me in a good mood. I was a bit skeptical to try the place out but was like okay let's do this.
One thing tho the Paapar (Paapadums) that it came with was a bit like paper and not crispy.
We had a chicken boti and a dhaal makhni with some butter naan. Different to what I'm used to but it was full of flavour and so delicious.
I will definitely be back for more
So the place is screaming for a make over but the Owner always checks on his diners and adds the much needed warmth to the atmosphere. He is a very generous man. The portions of food are well worth the price (I can never finish the bryani).
To top it all, they don't charge corkage. So I am able to pair my wine with my favorite curry.
I just wish he could find an efficient waitress to replace Sam that used to work there.
What a lovely time spent with family; enjoying flavoursome curry that tickled the palate. I will definitely be back. I wish I had known of this little restaurant before.

Excellent food and friendly staff and service. The curries are great - not too hot in medium - as is the naan bread. Good value and sizeable portion.
The best curry joint in CT! I eat their every week without fail and have never had a disappointing meal. The butter chicken and kasturi are always a good option.

Very interesting little restaurant in Muizenberg with a unique, cosy atmosphere. The lovely aromas promising delicious food meets you as you enter. The owner is a friendly and interesting man, chatted to us about his life & travels over the world while we waited for our food(take out). Food was phenomenal & mouthwatering delicious! We will definitely be going back for a full sit-down experience.
Went for dinner this evening. Entourage not great, and service quite basic. Feels as it looks. HOWEVER the food is fabulous. Had Samosas to start, excellent well filled and spiced. Lamb Madras with Pakora rice, Lamb Biriyani, garlic NAN.... Super, rice was perfect, Curry not oily (as suggested in other reviews) excellent spice, very aromatic. Rounded off with Dom Pedros. Absolutely worth a visit.
We come here regularly for authentic Indian food and are never disappointed. This is also the only place in Cape Town who sells my favourite naan bread.... Peshwari naan.
OMG. Never been here before; how did I miss it? Family over from the States and they wanted curry. We found Bombay Chilli and went… Flip!!! Their curries are out of this World. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves curry; we’ll be back.

I just had the best lamb biryani ever. I cannot describe the taste except to say the bar has been set very high. The next best does not come close
