I booked at Waterside Lodge and I had a pleasant stay. The room was so affordable and I was surprisingly comfortable 😊. Had dinner at Grotto Restaurant and the food was so delicious, but the portion of the food did not match the price😅quite expensive. Thank you so much Piet Retief.
We visited one evening for supper. I ordered prawns, which were delicious and well cooked. My husband had a burger, which he said was a bit over cooked and he felt it had too much sauce.
The waitress was friendly and attentive. The entry to the restaurant is quite dark.
This is a great restaurant, with amazing food and awesome management. I would recommend it to anybody and will definitely be back.
Good prices for BIG portions and the MOST delicious food. There's a variety to choose from the menu. The friendly staff is well informed on anything that's on special and on the menu.

Always good and friendly service. The food is nice and the atmosphere is warming. They also have some awesome specials available. Great cocktails too.
Nice atmosphere, great venue. A must visit if you on Piet Retief. Went there last week & had the most amazing time. Their food is amazing & service is wonderful
