Review The Slug & Lettuce - Paarl

the food is very reasonably priced for the most part except the not so large larger platter. Otherwise good food quality, service. and if you sit at the back nice atmosphere

The best and only Family Restaurant / Pub in Paarl where couples and friends (with children) can meet. Drinks is cold and staff the best.

A Hidden Gem with outstanding service. First off it's KID FRIENDLY!! Then you have a great menu with many options. I had the House Nachos and was totally surprised at how incredibly good they were. Best NACHOS EVER! My children were also very happy with their options, clean plates all around.

Pulled pork burger is pretty good. Devil's peak lager is a win, obviously.

Excellent restaurant for sundowners and a meal. Family friendly as well.

Friday night was busy with a lot of young people, under 25 years. Pleasant surroundings, good food, well cooked and presented and very reasonably priced.

This is a great place for a Friday-after-work-beer and for eating out with the wife. Good friendly service comes standard from barmen and waitresses. They also serve good food, tasty, well prepared and big enough portions. I would go there again!

Great for a burger or something light. The fireplace made a chilly morning super cozy. Good vibe and great food. Service was a bit slow and uninspired, however I chalk it up to the early morning. I'll definitely be back!

Traveling around SA as always during the summer holidays, this place was a decent restaurant to go to as we were passing through Paarl. All the Waiters were helpful, smiled as you walked in, smiled during service and smiled as you left. Food is decently priced and tastes very nice!! Recommended place for sure

Horrible experience, arrived at 19:15. Allocated a table outside as per our request. Enquired about the heater, only to be informed that there is no gas, heater was then promptly moved and utilized at another table.
Coke that was brought was warm, passion fruit seemed watered down, requested to see th manager, 45 minutes later,no manager.
One could see that the restaurant was quiet busy for a Tuesday, having only 3 waiters, did not help.
Enquired with waitress about manager, she then brought the owners mother, MAMMA, who seemed totally uninterested, made excuses about them being busy, on informing her that it's the under 18 craven week, was promptly told that they are aware, so where was the additional staff?
She just wanted to take away coke and passion fruit, with the intention of removing it from our bill, like really? It was not about the money, but customer service, which is clearly lacking.
Food finally arrived after 9, steak was cold.
Pasta apparently was good.
Never again

Ever got that question?
Girls lets do something?
Boys lets go watch rugby
the best place to do it is Slug and lettuce Paarl, the most perfect executed restuarant in paarl, where you come in to the smell of perfect popcorn!
The service was lovely, attentive waitrons with friendly faces. Their happy hour specials are fantastic and the food was cooked and presented well. Good for a lazy afternoon out!

Ive been here a few times with the guys at work. Burgers and pizzas are good. Prices isn’t to bad - decent value for money. The vibe is typical pub and grubb. Service could be better. All over not to bad.

JUST CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN!This "Pub" in Paarl is the worst Pub that I have ever attended apart from there disgusting food! The almost rotten lettuce and tomato's that they use; was horribly disgusted with their food and felt sick after eating their horrible, horrible food. Waiters wander around inside with no idea of what it entails to be a waiter! The speaker above the bar is crackling (fix it, this is a "Pub" not a cheap take away shop")!

We had some cocktails here. Was really good and properly made. The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our drinks. All n all I reckon this is a good place.

Had our first Slug and Lettuce experience using a Groupon Gift Voucher for two tonight. Food was great, drinks was good. What a shock to get our bill with a 20% gratuity added on. Won't ever recommend it to friends or go back again.
