My first visit to Tea Under the Trees was for a baby shower. I was at strick but the lovely venue and the effort they put into making the occasion special.
There are so many quirky little touches and thoughtful ideas here, it is really worth a visit.
There are little gift shops as well, and if you're lucky, you might see the resident owls and maybe even a tame bunny.
What a beautiful hidden gem in the middle of the wine lands of Paarl. Today was a beautiful day in Cape Town so this spot was perfect for lunch as you really do sit under the trees in their garden and enjoy a light lunch. We had the home made rooibos ice tea and homemade lemonade which was refreshing. I have the chicken, mustard and mayo sandwich was a delicious. This is a beautiful restaurant and I will definitely come back here again to try there teas ( they have a large selection) and some home made cake.
It's such a (maybe not so hidden) gem, a great place to get away for a light lunch or tea or coffee. Beautifully nestled under huge oak trees and surrounded by a beautiful garden of hydrangeas, it is such a peaceful beautiful place and definitely worth the visit.
Stunning venue, but limited menu and unfortunately no breakfast options. Huge hot chocolate😁👍 was served with a mini rusk.. loved it.
Absolutely fell in love with this place!! Food and view is stunning!
This is a place you will instantly fall in love with. Great for a light lunch in the cooling shadow of mighty oak trees, surrounded by flowers, vineyards and a mountain view.
This is a lovely venue to have tea and cake or a light lunch. The house and gardens are absolutely beautiful and the eats are served either on the veranda or "under the trees. Each table outside had a lovely old teapot with flowers arranged in it. There are also homemade preserves, olives and a few fresh veggies on sale. Unfortunately we waited a long time for just a chicken mayo sandwich and tuna mayo wrap, which was very tasty when it eventually arrived but it was disappointing that it was not presented nicely either! If it were not for these 2 points, I would score this a 5 star venue. Not open on weekends, apparently.
What a pity, Not reopening in 2019.
Just love this tea garden. Under the trees or on the stoep, you will be sure not to miss out on the very well kept garden. Ideal for birthdays, kitchen teas or just a relaxing day out. The owners and their staff ensure that all boxes are ticked and you can arrive in style and not even brake a nail. The Carrot cake is to die for, but also give the Russian Honey cakes a try. They have a few set menus to choose from and you can even order full cakes for a celebration at home.
Not reopening in 2019
Heaven on earth. Dear Amanda, Nicki, Kim and all the waitresses at Tea Under the Trees, what a very special spoil. I loved and enjoyed every second of my 60th birthday brunch. My dear friends and family who joined me enjoyed the morning as much as I did. Thank you so very much for the delicious food and the loving way of serving it. Blessings Christilene
