I will highly recommend Smitswinkel. Friendly, fantastic service from the staff. The food was absolutely delicious. I didnt have to send back my steak as it was done perfectly and the sauce was amazing.

Best lunch restaurant I've been in Oudtshoorn. It's clean, in a lovely setting with 'beautiful Karoo decor'. Great place to go if you have kids! The locals think it's a little pricey, but it's cheaper than city prices with similar quality. The service was good. Pizza is so so, but not terrible. Very thin crust - would recommend to have for a light lunch. I had a chicken burger from their 'sister restaurant' next door (Harley Jacks) and it was good - fresh! Wine menu is small with local wines. My first choice each time for lunch or dinner in this Karoo town.
