Review Twin Peak Spur Steak Ranch - Ottery

Twin Peak Spur completely exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent (shout out to Leslie-Ann) the Manager was warm and welcoming. Food was incredible!!!!

Great vibe, friendly staff. Our watron Kashiefa was excellent. She gets 10 stars from me and my family ⭐

Food was good but quality was average. Such as microwaved rolls, buffalo wings overpowered with sauce and dry inside. Greek salad was excellent! The appearance was good but poor lighting.

This was my second visit here....so my experiences this time had one that was very positive and one not so positive. Firstly, the starter nachos were absolutely stunning.....the best I've had at any Spur in the country, and I've been to many...unfortunately the burger patties were not so great on this occasion as they were overcooked and as a result dry and chewy so not pleasurable on the mouth. On my first visit the burgers were amazing and perfect. Also, the buns were not overly fresh this time. Had it not been for the burgers I would have rated this visit a 5 as the nachos and the service was on point...

Food was great and service excellent as always the only downside is the lighting is very poor making it hard to read the menu unless you are seated close to the door

The waiters have passion for their jobs. Having someone with a smile serve you and constantly come to your table just incase you're in need of their assistance is out of this world. I am glad I finally found Spur catering halaal food. I will definitely go there again. Their food and portion are satisfying. The atmosphere around the place is something else. I'm glad I had my launch there.

My Favourite here is definitely the Pensioners Special. My drink, meal and dessert at a price that won't leave a hole in my wallet. And every few minutes there's a happy birthday song going. Still a great place for families.

Good is excellent better then the other halaal Spur . my family wants to go back to eat at Twin Peak..Food Quantity is more then the other branches .for months I'm taking the pensioners special and this was the first time that one of the waiters said the ice cream is not included ,you have to pay xtra.also the first time we experiencing the manager came to chat to find out if everything is ok,then I guess he supervisor was the next and then the head waiter I guess was the next guy . Only one other Spur I experience the manager doing that and that was at Kenilworth..but I will surely go back.

I was so shocked that a restaurant was closed at lunchtime. I had to return after 2pm to take my son for lunch.

The staff very friendly and food excellent.

The food was up to standard, we enjoyed it. Thanks to the management for being able to alter our order while it was still being prepared. Very professional

Like all Spur steak ranches it is a great place for ribs, steaks, chops, grills with its signature sauces I tend to enjoy the snitzels and nachos which is always a treat Service was sort of average or satisfactory, it should be noted that the manager on duty was on point

The steak was awesome. There was a shortage of staff at that moment, so it slowed down the service time. However, the atmosphere was very homely and comfortable.

I was there on Monday with my family you have the best staff, Wayne, Abdul Baasit and Sa-aydien....you had run out of beef schnitzel...�. Will definitely be going back soon to celebrate a ���

Service was tip top....food was delicious....and our waiter named GRACIOUS....was very friendly....

No doubt the food is great but this Spur has always lacked the enthusiasm and service most other Spurs have.

Really worse experience at twin peak spur this morning. In all my 10 years being a customer. Never had i expwrienced such poor servoce. Management was swamped and kitchen was overwelmed. Waiters tried their best but food came out slow and even the drinks came after the food

Wen we arrived they were very friendly... Once seated, shop was almst empty nd every1 just ignored us... when finally i called this lady who looked like she was the onli 1 working... Things went ok frm thr... i reli felt sorry 4 hr coz she was busy with 4 tables all at the same tym while the others walked up nd down... yet still she managed to gve a good service nd uphold the Spur name!! Seems we( me and wife) came to eat at the right time. Not busy, and had Dan as our waiter. Super friendly waiter, im almost sure this Spur creates all the SUPER WAITERS in the world. They all awesome right up to the Managers. With generally being a difficult customer, i complain as much as i compliment. Believe me i can complain, from anything to......no name badge, no smile/unfriendly, timing of food given by waiter. So 15.12.2016. Dan.... you were the best....... Kitchen....food was perfect. Managers....well trained branch. Keep up the good work.

2015/04/09 We walked into Spur Ottery and waited to be seated. We were seated and ignored by the waitors. I eventually waved one down and said that we would like to order breakfast, answer: "That is not available anymore". And as I sit there with a confused expression on my face the waitor walks away ... My son informs me: "mommy, it's 11h03". We got up and left. We went to Dodge City opposite Spur and had the best breakfast with outstanding service. In fact, the esperience was sssooo wonderful that we ended up having dessert as well! Thank you Spur Ottery, we will NOT be back as we now have a new favourite breakfast spot right opposite you ...

Was very nice, had a fun waitress who is just very confused when taking orders, the managers was nice checking up on us, food was cold but suffice thNk you :)

Great venue to host a kiddies birthday party. Great staff. Great venue. Chilled atmosphere. Better still, the kids loved it

Just love to go there they the best I am almost every week there was even yday for b fast just to spoil myself and planning to go next weekend for my bday hopefully then the whole spur will sing for me lol

Worst experience i have had at a spur.. my hubby and i got seated with my two year old today. . I think we arrived at about 11am by either a cashier or manager, store was fairly empty. . We waited almost 15 mins for a waiter and no one came, in that 15mins of waiting i went to the ladies and my hubby took my little one to the play canyon and still no one came.. and least we got two menus. .<br/><br/>Also the cashier/ manager was on the phone which sounded like a personal call.. as she was laughing and askin about partners. . Anyway we were quite hungry and decided to leave and go to nandos next door.. no one even bothered to ask us why we leaving or if anything is ok.<br/><br/>I have never experienced such bad service at that store before. . We usually go to Rodeo spur. Best service ever<br/><br/>I don't think im ever goin back to Twin peak spur. . Standards has dropped tremendously. .

Spur Ottery has decent food but the service is a bit poor, they do tend to get busy and are not always able to cope with the the amount of orders. Great for a Spur Breakfast though.

Had some lovely ribs from Twin Peak Spur a couple of days ago and I cannot complain. It was grilled to perfection and basted with the best basting sauce aka the original spur basting sauce.<br/><br/>The restaurant was quiet empty as it was about 11:30 am on a Wednesday morning, but we still had a bit of a wait for our food. The waiter was friendly and efficient. The food was definitely value for money. So overall we had a good experience. <br/><br/>Will definitely be returning.

Great quality foods and the service is good and friendly , my personal fav is the nachos and their oh so famous Buy one get one free deals on a monday 👍🏻 i usually take a basic breakfast along with my monday combo if im there in the morning its like getting extra toppings and extra chips for a minimal amount 👌🏻

My family and I visited Twin Peak Spur last night 19.04.2017 and received the poorest serves ever experienced at any Spur in Cape Town, our order for double thick milkshake came without any spoons, the coleslaw ordered was sour, so I used my cell to call the shop for the manager to come to our table 043 because the waiter was absent for a long time she came and we asked her to also smell it and she refused with a very disgusted look on her face like(funny because she expected us to eat something she wouldn't even smell herself) I thinks she knew**wink wink**, I ordered a rib and chicken combo and hubby a big bear combo the 200g and 400g ribs looked the same size so we question his manager who then offered to take it back have it weighed and take a photo for us to see they are being truthful(she claim one was just over 400g and the other we scored a whole 100g as it weighed 300g) **yippee**not she did not care to produce the photo, cherry on top is that it was my daughter b.day and with all this we asked for the bill and she reminded us in the car that they did not sing the cool b.day song for her(which is not spurs fault but ours being so cheesed off with your manager crappy attitude), we paid for the kids meal and drinks and left at 20:14pm unhappy(but look on your footage how we laughed so not to spoil my 10yr olds b.day dinner completely)<br/><br/>There is a waiter called Athena who usually serve us now that lady is manager material as she is spunky competent, professional and very customer orientated, I believe she is currently very ill best wishes for her speedy recovery

Decide to take my daughter for her birthday. Very disappointing. Poor service. Way too youngsters hanging at at the entrance not interested in the customers. They love the idea of working there but not actually willing to do the work. Even took pics of the playing with each others hair !

Well I went for my usual Monday special yesterday. And I wasn't impressed at all. I went early so the place wasn't as full yet and my food took forever to come. The waiter was also extremely slow. I asked her for strong sauce as well as to bring my milkshake with the meal and both came at the end of the meal. 😠 I wasn't happy at all. I also waited forever just for my bill. The service was horrible and my food was ice cold. I ordered the cheddamelt burger and my mushroom sauce was ice cold. I told my waiter to heat it up and that too came at the end of my meal. Really wasn't impressed. My waiter also mentioned to me why the milkshake took so long and apparently it was because she had to make the shake herself as the person who makes the milkshakes was nowhere to be found. BAD SERVICE. However my burger itself was average but ice cold and everything else put me off.

Whether it's a Burger Monday or Breakfast on a Saturday this place is always a good idea. <br/><br/>This morning I went for for breakfast here and their food was delicious as always. <br/>I always told myself I'm unable to eat chicken livers if it's not from Nandos however I took a chance with their and I must say it was a good choice to add to me breakfast. <br/><br/>The wait wasn't long for our food and the lattes was perfect. <br/>No toilets (the restrooms is the Ottery Hyper is PATHETIC) and No smoking section too.

Spur Steak Sublime 😋🍍🍽 <br/><br/>My meal order of Cheesy Jalapeño Steak, topped with a Slice of Cheese, accompanied by a side of Cheese Sauce (yes... I love cheese 🙈) and an added Slice of Pineapple with Sweet Potato Chips and Onion Rings made me devour this meal like a true carnivore of note 🙈🙊... So good and perfectly done to my standards 👌💯<br/><br/>As much as Spur is a family friendly restaurant chain, I have to admit that this one blew my socks off in terms of customer service from our wonderful waiter Maon... Clearly skilled in the art of customer satisfaction he attended diligently to our every need and truly went above and beyond what I expect from mass restaurant groups. As I always maintain... It is the service excellence standards that truly draw people to come back and not the fanciest places sometimes. Well done Spur Ottery!!! He is a gem... <br/><br/>By the way, now that I've done waxing lyrical about Maon, the food, decor and cleanliness standards were on par too 😄<br/><br/>If you looking for Halaal, you've certainly come to the right place 👍<br/><br/>

Had their Monday burger special last night where you buy one burger of your choice and get the other free, which is suitable for those 'waiting for pay-day' kind of days. <br/><br/>Our waiter was benevolent and came to check up on us consistently. <br/><br/>The overall restaurant was overcrowded (due to the special) and the waiters were turning tables as well as cleaning amidst chaos. <br/><br/>Our food did not take too long to arrive and everything seemed fresh until my partner opened his burger to find a black hard substance that seemed like a burnt piece of meat of some sort. My burger was flawless though and the strawberry lemonade I had was very pungent but thirst quenching. <br/><br/>Overall good service but I am not too sure about the hygiene of the restaurant.

Went for lunch yesterday at Spur Ottery  where my son and myself got our food long after we ordered, water was warm they gave us, by the time we were done eating my husband did not even received his food, and walked out. The service was horrible and the waiter not good at all. Most horrible experience ever.

Not expecting first class service at a Spur, but this time it was ridiculous. Had a birthday there, waited 1 hour for our food no drinks were offered, management not picking up what was happening. Had to flag down any waiter and had to get up to go find a manager. They took my name and number called me after 2 weeks and said they appreciate my feed back. Absolutely not going back there.

Horrible service last night. Food took over an hour after starters. Manager made no effort to make the experience better and when the food arrived, we had to wait another 10mins for cutlery.

I have no problem with spur besides the fact that theyve become ridiculously overpriced, their food is good, nothing too special in all honesty, but I suppose it's a great family restaurant

This Spur is a newer kid on the block but can rival the other halaal Spurs in Vangate and Claremont. We sometimes go in the week and it tends to be quiet which is good. The food (especially the masala basting) is great - can't fault them. Only fault really is that sometimes the service can be a bit slow. But on the plus side, I've never had to queue to get in (although I've never been there on a Monday!).

After a disastrous experience at dodge Ottery I walked into Spur Ottery. I explained to the waiter that I was very hungry since I have been waiting for last one and half hours for food at another outlet. He sympathised and said he would try to rush my order. Half the tables at spur was filled but within 20 minutes I had a warm delicious steak in front of me. Spur never disappoints:)
