After not eating for 17 hours this restaurant was the oasis we were looking for. The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was great, we had Wi-Fi access and the food was very tasty. We had fun meeting the local pooches too. Highly recommended to all the travelers passing through Napier.
A total surprise. Service brilliant. Attention from the hosts ( both ) entertaining and informative. Waitress fully aware of menu and very attentive to needs . Three plates ordered. All first class in presentation. Taste delicious. To have the bottle of champagne and the creator of same in the room at the same time was a bonus . Will be back
Really nice lunch spot. They have a decent wine list, some good pizzas, and very friendly staff. Never feel rushed, and dogs are welcome, which is a huge bonus.
What an unexpected surprise, the best knochi I've had in years, fresh, handmade and even caramelized a touch. Just brilliant! The setting is also very funky, and the service great. Definitely worth a visit! The town itself has some lovely eateries.
Well deserved 5 stars! I rarely give five stars, but this breakfast ticked all the boxes! Corn fritters was light with cheese inside. Visually stunning decor. Freshly baked breads from brick oven to die for. We'll definitely have to go again to try the main menu. It looks intetesting.

One of my favourite places. Always a twist on the food and the decor is lovely!
We were stopping by on our way to Cape Agulhas for a quick Coffee and maybe a Sandwich and ended up with an excellent Pizza and a lekker Salade🙂 The only thing we regret is, that we weren't hungry enough to taste some of the other goodies on the menu. The service was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay.
Awesome food and friendly service. The steak was perfect! Interesting wine list and lovely outside seating.
I was welcomed by the homely aromatic smell of freshly baked, rosemary sowerdough bread and fire dried plum tomatoes in the pizza oven.

Well, this must have been the best sourdough bread I have ever had, freshly baked in a woodfired oven, to perfection! The staff is super friendly, the coffee was delicious, the food was delicious, very generous portions too. We had a lovely relaxing afternoon dining in your garden under the big shady trees. Highly recommend it, we will be back... For many more of your delicious meals. Thank you JD Bistro
