Surf Emporium is one of my absolute favorite places, & positively the most amazing surf destination I have experienced in South Africa.
I do not fail to recommend them to any visitors to Cape Town. If you are visiting our beautiful city then do yourself a favour and get there with your family and friends - they have a great selection of boards available to hire at good prices, with all the other things you possibly need: bathrooms, lockers to store your stuff, wetsuits, instructors, shower and great coffee and eats for afterwards.
These guys rock and stand way above any other offering available! And don’t let me start on how amazing Muizenberg is as a surf-spot : so wished I lived there and could get out surfing there every day!
Surf Emporium is a great spot to hang out. Whether it is to grab a vida coffee, chat to the locals or go for a surf. It feels as though you are in the Eastern Cape when you enter Muizenburg, and Surf Emporium is a home away from home for a lot of people. The outstanding service, professional coaches and perfect location make for a perfect day out. They are involved in all aspects of the community, from adaptive surfing, to corporate surf days, to hosting schools from all over the world. Anyone can learn to surf here!
