Review Yoffi Falafel - Muizenberg

Amy Palframan
What a great spot on the Muizenberg beach front. Highly recommend the salad bowl (R85) includes greens, cabbage, hummus, tahini, & gf vegan Falafels. It's an absolute winner. Great portion size for lunch.

Never disappoints! Amazing really tasty; delicious large falafel pita’s. Definitely recommend eating here.

The falafels are delicious! The portion is huge too. One serving is enough for two to share.

Most delicious Falafel balls ever!

Had a Falafel, not the greatest but thankful that it is vegan friendly. Personally I don't like a meal with both hot and cold items in the meal therefore I give it a 4star. Service is fast and friendly. Much love

Local, delicious and healthy food. One of our regular spots in Muizenberg. The falafel tub is my favourite ✨️

Some of the best falafel and hummus this side of town. I had the open falafel plate but the wrap is delicious too 🙂 also try the halva!

Servings are generous, food fresh, service great. There were some kids outside at the entrance begging for money, making a noise and really not a nice experience as they target foreigners which saddens me. They are creating a dependancy for these kids, not their fault, so the establishment could perhaps do something about this aspect. For the rest, if those noisy kids were not there, the scenary, ambience, would be 100%...food is awesome 😁

Absolutely delicious. They offer great vegetarian options, fresh ingredients, and really cohesive flavors. Pictured is one of their salad tubs which include grilled aubergine, falafel, various pickles, fresh veggies, and yogurt and tahini sauces.

Amazing food, gluten free options. Moms and kids loved it. Friendly service, delicious home baked treats. We’ll be back!

Food takes long to be prepared but is worth the wait. Cosy space but very crowded and awkward when busy.

Consistently delicious food and friendly service. AND more food than what you bargain for... good size portions, especially the falafel tub. I'm always stuffed after eating! You can also ask for vegan options. : )

Best falafel in town! Right on the beach with fantastic views.

Wonderful place, nice staff. Really great halva and toasties. Bathroom was kinda gross, needs a serious clean, and my friend's falafel became seriously soggy, so that must be fixed by the owner, but otherwise a really nice place and enjoyable experience. 4 stars!

This is my best little falafel shop in the Cape Town area. Simple, delicious, good old-school Falafel. Yum. You can buy to take home and freeze, too. We also ordered and collected 200 balls and litre of hummus for my friends wedding (as the vegetarian option) - which was amazing.

Nice option to grab and go, although it can be quite messy as the pita is filled to the very top with fillings (this is a good thing!). We tried both the falafel and chicken options and the falafel was definitely the favorite. We got given a free taster before buying which was a nice touch on their part.

This is in every single way an emergency food fix. If you need a quick salad or just some falafel goodness yoffi has got you. But the service is lacking and the ginger beer fizzes everywhere. Still it is charming.

Didn't realize that we'd find a specialized Falafel restaurant in South Africa!

The restaurant was cosy, the staff were extremely friendly and the falafel sandwich was plentiful in vegetables/falafels and delicious!

It's located in front of the beach which was lovely.

Recommend!

Mmmmm. I love pita bread with falafel, I always get one when I go to markets. This was the best I've had so far!

Food: the pita was full and there was a really really generous amount of falafel included. The hummus and tziki were delicious. Well worth the money.

Ambiance: the restaurant itself isn't cosy or well-decorated as its a takeaway store. I'd suggest grabbing a take-away pita and sitting out by the water. You can watch the surfers and appreciate being outdoors while you eat.
If you love falafel
as much as I do, you will love this hidden gem. After visiting Muizenberg beach, I always pop around for falafels. The falafels are fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft inside.

The restaurant is not fancy at all, but the food is absolutely divine! I also love the open kitchen so you can see what the chef is cooking. For approximately R40, you can add so many sauces or toppings in your pita bread. The staff are always friendly and very patient.

I love this place!

Such a cool spot in Muizenberg.
I definitely recommend the falafel bowl.
It's so delicious & fulling.
Very relaxed.
Staff are friendly.
They only do one thing, but they do it well! It's big and delicious. It's a treat after a big surf session when you need to replenish. I wish they would do fresh juices. Service is not the friendliest and the shop looks messy. Get a takeaway and sit on the beach.

Yoffi Falafel - Muizenberg
Limited Edition

Situated along the prime Muizenberg surfer strip, a good venue to pop into if you feeling a bit peckish and are in need of a fill me upper. Like the other Yoffi Falafel store, seating is limited and so too the menu.

Ordered the R45.00 Falafel and was served up a meal that lived up to it's price tag volume wise.Plenty of filling, loads of amazing sauces dripping all over. Was perhaps not the most elegant or refined meal I have had in a while, but never the less it filled the hunger gap.

Note to new diners to Yoffi Falafel, not first date friendly, especially if you trying to impress your new found love with your tip top table manners. These meals are best enjoyed licking the sauces off your fingers, elbows and knees.Thats the way its meant to be.
On the plus side,at least you will be able to budget correctly without any big bill surprises.Menu is very limited so the chances of an unexpected crayfish platter arriving are zero.

In Summary - A nice enough eatery, with pleasant staff, good enough, messy Lebanese food and a venue that boasts a glorious view of the sea.Not on my 'to visit weekly' list, but when in and around Muizenberg and in need of a substantial fix me up meal, will call in again.

Much Appreciated
Mr.G - Marcus Gibbons

Had a surf at muizenburg and was looking for some sustenance after we got kicked out after the shark warning!

Wow - we got a complimentary taster - and that sold us!

Portions were massive, taste was massive, satisfaction was massive! Get the falafel for R45 it wont dissapoint you!

Big props to them for this adventurous place! Best I've found in muizenburg so far!

Yoffi Falafel's are mouth-watering! This is my go-to place whenever I go to Muizenberg. Just a little disappointed that the menu is so limited but never less the food is amazing!

Yoffi Falafel have great food, although it's a slightly limited menu - but really great prices. Right on the beach-front and very accommodating staff.

Best Falafel. Always a favorite spot & well known. Homemade Ginger beer is a firm favorite too. Staff friendly & the owner always there to help.

Yoffi falafel offers a relatively healthy meal for Muizenberg visitors. Everyone in our party enjoyed their falafel in pita and especially appreciated the variety of chili sauces on the inside tables. Bonus tip: ask for your pita toasted!
