Review Gaslight Cafe - Muizenberg

After a surfing lesson I was super tired and hungry and I have been suggested about this place from the instructor of the school. Really good surfer sandwich, amazing chocolate cake, staff particularly kind! Don't hesitate to go there after a morning ride!

Under renovation outside at the moment but has a marvelous ambience of old world coffee bar and restaurant. The decor is a little on the tatty side which adds to its charm. A big plus is that for the smokers, you can have a coffee and breakfast in a separate smoking area.

Reasonably priced menu. Gaslight breakfast is adequate. Place needs a good clean. Lovely views close proximity to transportation.

Awesome food for a really good price. Great view of the beach. Great place to hide from the weather on a windy day. When the weather is good its disappointing that you end up inside looking out.

Best curry you ever going to taste, hard to believe but it's amazing. Great atmosphere and good prices.

This little spot is quite hidden away on the beachfront and hence is sometimes overlooked. I had one of the best breakfasts there that I've had in Cape Town and was shocked at how reasonable their prices are! Extremely friendly and efficient staff, good views and a bar attached to it, what's not to love..??

I love this place! The service is awesome and they are friendly. My fave faves are the crumbed prawns and mushrooms and scramble egg with salmon. I love the iced coffee or anything coffee and if I need to really unwind, I can have a beer over breakfast reading a book or watch the surfers ride a wave or 2! On a perfect day, you can walk off the calorie build-up up to Kalk Bay ;)

Simple, tasty breakfasts all day at a great price and right on the beach. It's well worth a visit. They also have a coffee bar area that allows smoking inside. I really recommend this place!

A cozy cheap'n'cheerful bistro right in the heart of Surfer's Corner out in Muizenberg. Service is friendly and efficient, the menu will tick most boxes and pretty much anyone will find something to eat there even if the selection probably won't blow your mind. Portions are generous, the food is out pretty quickly, and you get a fantastic view of the hustle and bustle of the famous surf spot.

Great coffee and the staff are super friendly and efficient. Will definitely go again and recommend this establishment highly. Small thing guys - It's time to switch to paper straws.

A gem in Muizenberg at Surfers Corner. A comfortable meeting place with waitrons who know your name and the owner greeting you! With wholesome food and a view of the ocean to recharge your soul! The chocolate cake and cheesecake definitely the best!

We have had many a meal at Gaslight. Love their lamb curry and thei fish dishes, which are reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and obliging.

I usually go to Gaslight Cafe as I find it very reasonable and the food is good, but on Saturday I ordered the chicken salad and was extremely disappointed. There was virtually NO chicken in the salad. However the waitress that served me managed to sort it out. I would suggest that in future people DO NOT order the chicken salad. Rather order the chicken strips with salad and chips.

Love having lunch at the Gaslight...friendly staff.The curry and seafood platter is sooooo yummy!

Gaslight is my happy space for breakfast on the weekends and even during the week for a quick cuppa coffee.. Home close to Home.. Friendly staff .

Really enjoy my visits to Gaslight. The staff are friendly and efficient with great breakfasts being served at good prices. The view across the car park look out towards Cape Point which is always inspirational. A good and recommended venue for breakfast

After nearly 10 years of eating at Gasight we still love it and always take our family and friends there miss Ferdi - friendly and good food is hard to find today

Cosy cafe by the beach with views of the beach. Great all day brekkies for the surfers, good coffee and now awesome dinners. The staff and owners are all class.
