A quaint cosy coffee shop tucked in a quiet area outside of the city centre, Cafe Lang is my new favourite spot in Mthatha.
We ordered a black velvet cake with a cream cheese topping for a birthday celebration, and everyone wanted seconds.

I was welcomed with a smile at the door by the owner, uMama that served me was very friendly and efficient.
The chicken mayo sandwich I ordered had too much filling which caused the sandwich to fall apart. I also found the filling too rich.

I've only had their red velvet and chocolate cakes, but those have had me going back for more!! They're moist, decadent, and I especially love the frosting on the red velvet cake. To die for!!
I placed an order for a cake on the phone mid Oct and the morning of the collection when i called to ask if my collection time was still ok i was told they cant find my order. And tht i did not place an order... after shouting she told me it can be done. Oh btw, They also changed the price i was quo
They have the best chicken and mayo sandwich which is served with potato chips. I love their food and cakes. They have a nice place, beautiful trees and garden.

This Cafe makes the best cake in the Eastern Cape. Their coffee is also excellent. I don't really eat the other food, I tend to focus on the cake. But my colleagues are happy with their food.
A lovely family owned café that serves the best red velvet cake and chocolate velvet cake. Nikki and her staff make you feel at home as if you are part of the family. Friendly service and a delicious menu. Lovely place for cake and coffee, a quick meeting or a wholesome meal with family or friends.
