This Checkers store has come a very far way. It used to be a shop I avoided and I know frequent it weekly. It is clean and the staff are helpful and friendly.
It has most of the common grocery items as well as a bit extra.

I guess there is no point in complaining that staff at the tills everywhere are talking constantly and loudly while at work in mostly Xhosa? But otherwise this Checkers is actually a better shopping experience than the Heiderand mall branch
I was pleasantly surprised at the supply of contents in the shop and was able to find most of what I was looking for. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful. The parking is a bit far when it rains but it didn't really deter me.
Wheelchair friendly in the heart of Bayside centrum. Wheelchair assistance ready if needed. Friendly staff and a clean shop. No long queues. Enough secure parking and a lovely centrum to visit.

Floors were clean. Food court also looks neat. I was helped with bus ticket and explained very well by staff at that department. Overall it was a very good represented supermarket.

Nevermind Checkers and they're always lovely there ,don't get me wrong. Walking to Checkers I discovered a clothing store,I have no idea what it's called tho, run by foreigners,and just awesome. Checkers Bayside is my new favourite store too. There's just a larger selection of everything and staff very helpful and friendly.
