It was a great pleasure to stop for coffee and toasts in this amazing old shop. The decor was superb, the prices were really cheep and the food was very tasty.
We stepped in to take a break from chilly rainy day. The people were so warm and the chai latte, chicken pot pie, potato-leek soup & trammezini warmed us right away. Everything made right there and the atmosphere makes you want to curl up and read a book.

The old building's roof leaks, the floor is a well worned layer of cemented-in peach pips, it is rustic but it smacks of old world charm and character. The people are friendly and the coffee is the best in Montagu. Once you settled into the old sofa in front of the crackling fire, you wont leave. A must stop, but take your time and drink in the atmosphere and the beautiful mountain view.
Such a special gem of a place in Montagu. Friendly, welcoming staff. The outdoor garden environment with the mountains in the background is so peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the sizeable scone which was freshly baked and topped with fresh cream and strawberry jam.
Food is always good. Love the tramazinnis and cheese cake. Inside and outside seating options. Lovely mountain views. Jams and cookies for sale. Staff are always efficient and smiling. Pet friendly.
It was raining and chilly outside but when walking nice warm fire greeted one. Little stuff like offering a umbrella to go to the loo in the out side buildings shows the staffs commitment to detail .Food was good.Will stop thier again
