Review Lone Creek Spur Steak Ranch - Midrand

I recently visited the Lone Creek Spur Steak Ranch located at Mall of Africa and overall, I would rate my experience as 4 stars. Although the food was delicious and the service was attentive, there were a few factors that impacted my enjoyment of the meal. Firstly, the wait to be seated was quite long, which was frustrating as I had to wait at least 45min. However, once we were seated, our server was friendly and efficient, which helped to make up for the wait time. Although she did spill my wine but was promptly replaced. Secondly, the noise levels in the restaurant were quite high, as there were a lot of children running around playing in the kids area and continued replying of the birthday song which annoyed my date. While this may be great for families with kids, it made it difficult to have a conversation without having to raise our voices. Lastly, the restaurant was very busy and crowded, which made it feel a bit chaotic and not ideal for an intimate dining experience. However, the atmosphere was lively and energetic, which may be appealing for some diners. Despite these minor drawbacks, the food at Lone Creek Spur Steak Ranch was definitely of good quality compared to other of the experience. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were flavorful and satisfying. The portions were also generous, which made the prices reasonable. Overall, if you don't mind a bit of noise and chaos, Lone Creek Spur Steak Ranch is definitely worth a visit for their delicious food and attentive service.

The experience was awesome...seems like great customer experience was my thing this week. When we got to Spur the waitress showed us the menu, the specials were only for pork. When I told her that I don't eat pork she said not to worry she will replace the pork with beef and we'll still be eligible for the special! Customer service is everything I tell you! Well done Spur!

The service was good, very friendly efficient waiter. The food came out fast, but not all at once. There was no wine list however our waiter knew the options off by heart which we loved. Everything was good. I will be back.

The place was full we had to wait atleast 20 mins to get inside. But the food was amazing, the atmosphere was top tier however the service was a bit slow

Loved that, even after being very skeptical, I was actually able to use the restaurant as more than just a restaurant but I was able to complete some of my work... I loved that there was little to no interruptions and the food was 10x more enjoyable

The Spur always provides value for money! The waitress was very friendly but managed to mix up our order. My son ordered coke, and repeated the order twice, but ended up with cream soda! The play area is a bit small and crowded. Other than that, the service was fast and the food tasty.

Amazing customer service. We had ordered takeaway meals. When we opened the packaging later on realised that there was items missing. After calling, Nelly answered and sorted out the situation immediately. The missing items were delivered shortly afterwards. Thank you Nelly and Spur for this amazing display of customer centric service.

First time going to Spur and it was a great experience! Loved what I ordered (chicken quesadilla), and the kids area is genius! Service was friendly and fast. I'll definitely be coming back.

My experience started out quite badly. I had ordered a medium to well done rump. First one was rock hard. Second one was raw. I was no longer in the mood to have any replacement. Nelly tried to beg me, I was having none of it. She then called Sibusiso. A well spoken gentleman who manages the place. He apologised. Asked to change my experience and that he would personally prepare the right steak. My son nodded yes and i was sold. The presentation was to die for. Thank you to Sibusiso, it's not how you start but how you end that matters. You restored the dignity of your establishment. I shall return one day. Obrigado!

This Spur is just disgusting! On Two occasions I found hair in my chips , the first time I ordered breakfast only to find a long strand of hair in my food ... Than spoke to the manager who insisted on making a new one and that he would deal with the issue so I decided to give into that A week ago I called and ordered a take away burger and chips as I was in a rush Opened my box only too find a strand off hair in like almost every second chip couldn’t get a picture as they quickly took away the box Absolutely disgusted , if I experienced this on two occasions can only imagine how many other people are experiencing this on a daily basis. Pathetic!

My family and I was welcomed to The Most friendliest staff and manager at Spur on the 12/06/18 for Supper, it was my baby girls 1st birthday and we have experienced a memorable night. Baby was a bit irritable but the staff and manager went out of their way to make her experience the most pleasant one... The Food was great Great service Friendly Staff Excellent Job guys....

After we waited for quite some time to get a waiter to take our order we then had to wait another hour for the order then we decided to just ask for take outs worst decision ever when we got home the chips were so dry as if it's yesterday's chips and the onions were burnt truly am disappointed at this the meat had burnt parts bad bad bad....

My family and I visited ur branch last night, and it was to date the worst food experience that we had at ur branch. This was sad because we have never had bad food at your branch before...the wings and chops were so dry, and because of this the food was so hard I could have used it as a weapon of self-defense. Maybe ur chef needs a day off...I dont know...but this will really make me rethink my next visit there.

Went in there. Was welcomed with this lady who didn't even greeted me .She took me to the corner and said u can seat here someone's going to help u. There I was waiting for help. Almost 30-45 minutes. Nobody seem to notice me .after an hour or so someone was just passing and I asked him. When will I get food in this place? That's only when i got attended. I placed my order and i had to wait for another 35 minutes before I eat.no communication nothing. When I was about to leave the place. There comes a man in white shirts. He said to me sorry sir I noticed u .u have been waiting here for a long time. Your order will be ready in 15 minutes. .This is a fast food store ???? Good luck guys go and experience this

I have been to almost all Spur shops in Gauteng and Limpopo... This one is the best.

We got some rabbit food with the ribs as the green salad when we decided to substitute the chips, remind me never to do that again!

I agree with below comment. The best part for me was the hand beat drum when they are singing for a birthday. Just love the beat.

If you are looking for friendly, sufficient waiters who will go out of their way to make you feel taken care of then Lone Creek Spur at Mall of Africa should be your #1 choice. One can clearly see management staff working alongside their colleagues in order to ensure that each visitor receives excellent service and leaves with not only their tummies full but a smile on their faces.

Ok I find human hair in my food and this manager tells me it's mushroom hair.

Before the movie, we decided to have a quick breakfast at the Spur. Luckily it was not too busy and there were ample seating available. Our waiter David (so enthusiastic) took us to a table on the outside. We placed the breakfast order (Ultimate Breakfast) and the food came to the table in a reasonable time. Only thing that he got wrong was the brown toast (he brought white toast). The double espresso was quite strong and good!

Very enjoyable breakfast experience. We were greeted in a friendly manner and shown to our seats. Eddie was our waiter he is superb. We didn’t have to ask for a single thing he was sharp friendly and super efficient. Thank you for great service. Food was delicious and will definitely recommend this branch. We are big fans of Spur

Not the best Spur that I have been to. I had the cheddarmelt steak with baked potato, a standard Spur dish. The steak was a bit cold and the potato was clearly not fresh. Disappointing.

Pleasantly surprised with this branch. I normally dont go to Spur but son wanted the play area. Service was good although manager didnt come to my table but went to others. My waiter was nice though. The breakfast was very tasty. Sons pizza was a bit bland. Play area has a camera that can be viewed from below which is comforting. Overall good experience. Will go there again.

Its spur... i mean... i really wish there was something else open... anything else... after justice league i think anything would have been better. <br/>The service is excellent and friendly. The chicken wings are crap. Total garbage, dry inside and Soggy outside, sort of sour and crap. I dono how its possible to make them that bad. <br/>Steak looked um... basted. Massively basted. <br/>Its noisy and spur like.<br/><br/>If you got kids... then fine spur is your penance. If you are an adult without kids there is no reason to go to spur. <br/> <br/>

Superb service, that was never expected from Spur, given the fact that it was month end and they were super busy. Best feel good experience even when compared to the other boutique restaurants in Mall of Africa. Well done guys!

My sister and I both had the half portion fish and side dish, I had creamed spinach and she opted for salad. We were a little worried as the fish we've had at other Spur's weren't great but it was the only thing we were craving. The grilled fish was surprisingly excellent and we will absolutely go back for more. It's very difficult to find fish that is made properly. She went on to have the Tex crumbed mushrooms and I settled for an Irish coffee. Given my dietary restrictions and her being pescetarian, it's great to know that this Spur has food we can both enjoy and is delicious. If only the waiters would slow down a little bit, they wouldn't have so many accidents in the dining area.

Great for lamb chops and taking kids out. I'm not a frequent visitor of spur but the past few times that we visited this branch has not been disappointing.

I've eaten here twice now and it's not the worst Spur I've ever been to, but also not the best.<br/><br/>I love Spur mainly for their nachos, but this branch's portions seem to be smaller. I've also had breakfast here and it was quite average, but for the price I suppose it's reasonable. <br/><br/>This Spur also never seem to have their aircon on because we always die of heat when coming here. I always say that I hate going to restaurants in malls, and this is definitely no exception.

Is there anything special about Spur except for its specials? Well, they seem to be pulling in the crowds. South Africans like their big portions, one thing you are guaranteed to get at Spur.

Food is good as expected but it was tooooo loud in there, the birthday tradition at spur is nice and all as it makes people feel special but can they turn down the volume a bit?

We were quite eager to compare this spur to our favorite spur and lets just say there was no contest! The portion sizes are smaller than our local and the food needed salt. The managers were very friendly and hands on!

Spur is never gonna rock your world. This one is nicely located in the food court at mall of Africa. I had a cheddamelt steak, sirloin cut. Was good.

Well, it was to be expected they would be busy with the opening of The Mall of Africa- however the waiters could not keep up with the demand. So much so, we received our tea when we were about to pay- because they didn't have enough teapots to go around. Food was good as Spur would go, thankfully our food was hot, but getting a waiter's attention was tedious- come on guys- you know where you're situated, you should have prepared a little better. Met up with my friend and her children at the Spur at Mall of Africa. I ordered the starter portion of Buffalo wings and a Latte. The Latte was good but I was disappointed with the wings. The wings were a little dry as though they had been over fried, and they weren't as spicy as I remember spur wings to be. I did taste some of the Nachos as well that my wife and friend ordered, these were pretty good from what I tasted.

I really don't know why I keep going to Spur. Had a toasted chicken mayo sandwich, which was so dry i had to dip it in pink sauce, with half cooked chips. I only stopped here as it was the only place other than McDonalds that was open and not crowded
