This is such an amazing place with great service and friendly staff... the food is excellent Sushi my favourite... the current Salmon Roses special is out of this world...yum yum... The decoration is shabby chic... and finally an eatery where they pour your wine in real wine glasses... Ooooo and try the Gin & T on tap... the pink one is delicious... BUT give the one with Buchu infused tonic a try... your taste buds will do a happy dance...
What a fantastic place this has turned into. Great food, great service from Wayne and his team, and easy parking opposite. For us, the large sushi platter is a must-have. We'll be back soon.
One of the best restaurant to go if you want to sit right by the sea. Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and a million dollar view. Not always easy to get a spot, so a reservation is advisable. And the Melkbosch Poke is a great dish, so give it a try.
Cosy and quaint little restaurant that beats anything in the city, with a very innovative dishes and lovely atmosphere. Gorgeous all around sea views - the beach is maybe 10m in front of the restaurant. Only gave 4 stars because slightly above average prices, but the overall experience does make up for it.
Food is average .had apple crumble its served with ideal milk ..not great..would be better with ice cream . The crumble is lovely an crunchy .feta croquettes ..more potato than any cheese very basic dipping sauce . The venue is a house converted to restaurant right on the beach. You are paying for the location more than the food quality. Basic fish an chips also that my friends had . Service was friendly and helpful . Parking is across the road at designated parking lot .
Delicious food, good vibe, huge view, resonable price. If you want a restaurant for last long and great memories with someone you love, I highly recommend there.
Spent a wonderful couple of hours here enjoying a leisurely and delicious lunch. The place was packed on Women's Day, but we managed to nab a table for two upon walking in.
The vast menu offers an array of delish dishes and an impressive wine list. Prices are fairly high, but the quality food, ocean views, and friendly service are worth it.
Hubby and I shared a few starters while I quaffed a bottle of Groote Post Pinot Noir Rosé and he had a few chilled craft beers.
Will definitely return to this popular Melkbosstrand restaurant. Bookings are recommended.
Amazing service and the food to die for. Big variety on the menu and no pizzas, coz let’s face it, everyone is doing pizza nowadays.
Plus you have an amazing view of the beach and if you’re lucky you may get a visit from a little birdie too
The dining experience here is truly fantastic. I have been to Melkbos Kitchen a few times now and each visit has been even better than the next! The quality of the food is incredible. It is clear that they use only the best and freshest ingredients. Additionally, the restaurant is positioned right on the beach which adds to the overall ambience. You cannot visit Melkbos with visiting The Kitchen!
An absolute must try!
We had a great experience from booking stage until we stepped out of the restaurant. Such a lovely ambience whether you are seated inside or in the courtyard facing the ocean. I've been on 2 occasions, having booked for dinner (which is a must as the restaurant was fully booked) and a spontaneous pop in for lunch (there was a table free).
Their seafood dishes are delicious and their sushi is now on my top 5 list! Generous portions at very reasonable prices. It's an establishment I can visit again and again without breaking the piggy bank.
The only "negative" - no bookings are taken after 18h30. All patrons have to have vacated the restaurant by 21h00.
Really enjoyed the lunch. The food was expertly plated, and very tasty. The Cheese Cake was out if this world!!!! I will find a reason to return just for the Cheese Cake!! The view was awesome....just Blue ocean as fast as you can see, (although there was some mist hanging around for a while, but it eventually lifted). I would also bring a jersey...but if you forget yours, they do have blankets for your convenience.

Wonderful spot close to the beach the most gorgeous view. Food was unbelievable and service was tops. Ended the meal with a cheesecake to die for and cappuccino. Over all a good experience and a restaurant not to miss eating at.
