Great fish - fresh, flaky, with a nice light batter! And way too many chips LOL. They didn't even blink when we hauled out our bottle of wine (as suggested by another customer). Tarhina even organised some sardines for us (this is during the Sardine Run but we couldn't find have any) to bring home. Thank you!
Absolutely commendable vegan options. The battered tofu though, whilst well cooked is just a slabs (x3) of tofu in batter so not a fish'a'like. That's fine, it needn't be but could have done with perhaps slightly thinner slice and something to give it a bit of flavour as opposed to just salt. None the less it was very filling and I enjoyed it. The chips were well cooked but lacked a bit of crispiness. I suspect due to fast turnaround or perhaps cooler oil? Kids meal size is generous on chips, enough to share with and adult eating just fish really. Its not cheap, £40+ for 2 adults and 2 kids with drinks. There are a few tables out front, staff friendly but total disregard for their own attempt at recycling bins. Took our cans etc. 10 yards across the road to do it properly. No excuse on that front.
Great gluten free fish and chips. Mi Soul playing on the radio giving good vibes. Highly recommend. Even the 'Green' Soda's were delicious and sugar free!
food was decent quality and reasonably priced amazing when they are at the beach and they could definitely charge more for the reasonably priced fish and chips and dont. food is tasty. ketchup packets were massive.
4 stars: they don’t have salt and vinegar. very weird a fish and chip shop doesn’t have salt and vinegar for an otherwise great fish and chip shop
Was recommended by many people that this was the best fish and chips on Margate seafront and was not disappointed!! Food was delicious, and the variety in the menu choices is unmatched to anything else along the sea front. We didn’t have to wait long at all for the food and enjoyed it sitting along the steps to the seafront. We will defo be back on our next trip down. I had the battered sausage and chips and my partner had the fish and chips. We also shared the salt and pepper squid. Can’t recommend enough.
This is the best chicken katsu I have ever eaten. WOW! Stop reading the reviews and go and order one. The sauce is delicious, the perfect consistency with a hint of spice. We also had a battered sausage which should be awarded the king of all battered sausages ever.
Amazing place and amazing gluten free options! My son is coeliac and got the chance to enjoy a nice dinner!! Staff seemed nice and shop very clean! A little expensive but overall very happy and will go back
Fantastic place, definitely recommend to anyone visiting Margate. Steve who served us was a lovely guy and recommended the vegan battered sausage which my partner chose and of course it was super tasty - great recommendation from Steve. I got the prawn Marie rose loaded fries and they were equally delicious.
We also got the battered pickles and a free bag of scraps, which again were great.
The chips were some of the best chip shop chips I’ve ever had. The prawns could have been cooked a little more consistently and I’ve had the squid better here before but still tasty. I love the chilli sauce they use.
Great choices with standard fish and chips and more unusual dishes too. Gluten free and vegan options. No seating inside but some tables outside. Easy ordering system via touchpad screens. Great service!
Had vegan battered sausage and chips. The batter was gorgeous, crisp bad flavourful. Chips were soft and fresh. I come here every time I visit Margate.
