Great place to catch up with friends, since opening its been a breath of fresh air for Kenilworth, helping the place get its vibe back. Coffee ,food & service always consistently good.

Great Chai Latte. Get to choose your own make up breakfast and service excellent and food fast. Eggs fried perfectly the way I like them. Very cosy on a Winter's day and great atmosphere and vibe.
I had such a amazing time. The service was absolutely brilliant did not wait to long for the food to come. Just briallant.. loved every minute spent there.

I went today to do some some work and grab some brunch. Spacious table and available plug points, but not available at all the table. WiFi only available when you order food, but thatβs understandable. Service was good and they always checked up to see that all was good. The food was good but can be improved on. I had the crumbed chicken burger. I think it could have improved with a bit more sauce so that it isnβt so dry. Overall pleasant experience. Would go again. The tapas menu looked good
This is the third time in a row that I have come to bootleggers in Kenilworth and have not been acknowledged on arrival and have had to wait for a menu, even though there are staff walking all around us.
It is such a shame because the atmosphere, the coffee and the food is brilliant. Come on guys, please jack up the attention to detail.
The manager came over while we were having coffee and I was excited that he could acknowledge they had not served us well and committed to doing better. I have adjusted the 2 stars to a 4 stars. Great job

Best breakfast with some dash of craft beer.
I'm now expecting my baby and it's still the best place for breakfast. I enjoyed myself
Good service. I like the flexibility of building your own breakfast. I had the sesame bagel with Avo. Hubby had the bunless burger. The idea of serving cuppucino in glass tumblers just doesn't work for me - I really need that handle on a mug because my fingers can't handle direct heat. Apart from that I do enjoy Bootleggers.
Awesome coffee shop that serves great coffee and the most delicious flapjacks with bacon and syrup! The service is quick and all the servers are very friendly. The prices are also very reasonable.
Best choice in the southern suburbs for food. Also my preference for any of the Bootlegger branches. Staff and food are amazing. Best coffee and have plenty of seating space. Also serve some amazing burgers with the best local craft beer, CBC Amber Weiss!!!

Popped in for a coffee here a weekday, really chilled atmosphere. Was relatively quiet. Ordered hot beverages and Cookies & Cream dessert. Was tasty but needs to be shared, too much sweetness for one person.

Awesome service, a place to stop by for great coffee, favored amongst many, by cyclist. Their specials on burgers after 4:30PM are absolutely worthit.

The picture quality of my attached picture isn't great but the food quality was top notch! Very little beats that handmade mushroom sauce beef burger and great crispy fries! Plus the coffee is just the thing for a cold evening.

Bootleggers serve a good quality decaff coffee that I enjoy.
I like the option of being able to build your own breakfast rather than just having a set menu.
It seems to be a popular venue & times I've visited, the shop has always been full and noisy.
The upside of the noise is one can have a private conversation & not be overheard π

Bootleggers Main Road is a neighbourhood coffee shop with loyal regular customers and friendly staff, all of whom treat us like royalty β Even in these tough circumstances their welcome is warm, the service is excellent, and the cappuccino is consistently tops ~ Always just the right temperature for me β
Food is delicious too.
One of my favourites is the chicken livers (can't eat peri-peri but they are always prepared to adapt β As you see in this picture. A friend pushed me up the road in a howling Northwester which was battering the outdoor roadside seating so we persuaded the manager to ask the staff to bring a table out to the parking area behind the shop in the sun β He was horrified that I chose to sit in the sun in one of the disabled parking spots (10 gold stars for protecting the rights of the disabledβ£)
BUT fortunately I had my disabled parking disc me which entitled me to 'park' there so we were able to enjoy a delicious breakfast in the sun sheltered from the wind with open space as the second one was unoccupied β That's adaptability for you, meeting the needs of a wheelchair user collaboratively with a sense of humour β
Incidentally the Pam Golding building also has one of the best wheelchair toilets in Cape Town!
