Review Gold Rush Spur Steak Ranch - Kempton Park

Had a good lunch here with my family and some friends. Sat In the area across from play section so kids couldn't leave without seeing. Food was fresh and tasted great. Our waiter was extremely helpful and timeous. Would recommend this branch. Good job.

Great food, great atmosphere and delicious cocktail. The play area is indoor so it's easy to keep an eye on your child although there's a friendly lady in the play area watching out and taking care of the kids. The staff very friendly and the food spot on.

This spur is by far one of the best restaurants I went to, Promise our waiter was the absolute best he treated us like golden. The food tasted great and the portions were unbelievable im definitely coming back here. Mr Promise is a real asset to the restaurant.

Excellent morning drinks (Castle Draught & Irish Coffee) to start :) absolutely delicious Double Rib burger. Superb “lead by example” supervision by Yvonne: a superstar and asset to the franchise and brand :)) really appreciate the awesome start to the day both in conversation, service and quality of F&B

Great vegetarian options, my wife normally orders a baked potatoes, with veggies and onion rings, served with sour cream while I order the spicy nachos. Great friendly staff /management and good value for money.

This is simply the best Spur in Johannesburg. Excellent food, fantastic service and cold beer. Can't ask for better!

The pineapple burger here is great. The sweet pineapple goes really well with the salty meat and mushroom sauce. The French fry sauce is always clutch!

The experience I had with that meal was woow..they have an indoor playing area for the kids so it's super calming to know that you are near by.

I am a Spur Person. A person with a taste for life. 😂♥️ Haha It was my first time eating at the Gold Rush Spur [Emperors Palace] and the service we received was good. The burger that I ordered was really tasty and filling😋😋. I really love Spur Burgers although they are quite pricey, they are worth it. 🍔🍟♥️ ... Dear Spur. I like the service. They are friendly. The food is good especially the burgers, my favorite is the chicken burger. I like the milkshakes. Excellent

If you are looking for good service, excellent food and a great dining experience Spur are emperors palace is definitely not the place to be. The service is just as crap as their management and no one makes any attempt to customer satisfaction. Pizza ovens have not been cleaned in most properly from the time they have opened black burnt old dough on the bottom of the pizza. Burger patties are properly frozen so they are completely raw and ice cold in the middle. How do people serve this garbage and just imagine that we have to pay for these meals. SPUR EMPERORS PALACE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THERE. The only thing I suppose they good at is to sing their birthday song

An incredibly busy night at the restaurant resulting in delay for the Ford from the kitchen. Starters took approximately 45 minutes to arrive with the main course arriving within 10 minutes of the starters. The drinks order was mixed up with singles arriving rather than doubles. <br/><br/>As for the food, the garlic roll should have been grilled longer to get the butter to melt. The steaks were done well and I chose the sweet potato chips for something different. Very enjoyable. <br/><br/>Our waiter, Thando was entertaining and accomodating.

This has to be my favorite Spur,I was invited by my friends for dinner, if I can call it that. Our waitress was so kind, like genuinely kind, the service was efficient and the food,well Sprur's food is always great. Can't wait to go back

Food was good, steaks were well prepared, the set menu meal and combos were value for money. Service was good, waiter was always there to check if all was in order, overall not bad at all.

Spur is always a safe option because you know what you will get and how much you will pay. They are very much the same as all the other outlets. Try the schnitzel combo or the cheddamelt steak. They do not always have it on their menu, but ask your waiter for a John Lee special for drinks. If you do not feel like Spur, try the Hooters around the corner.

Sat down and waited. The 10 minutes later we finally received some menus, another 10 minutes later we finally had the manager take our orders. 20 minutes later still no drinks. We had enough, informed the manager and left with nothing.

I dont care what anyone says. This is still one of my favourite restaurants and this branch. Always had pretty good service. Spur food you cant go wrong. Buffalo wings with dirky sauce and onion rings. Texan blaze chicken burger if you need something with a kick. Crumbed mushrooms. Spur burgers on a monday and of course not forgetting their amazing breakfast specials for R25.<br/><br/>And last but not least this is still the only branch i have seen where they start the music and all the waiters stop what they doing and dance to hillbilly rock! Love it!

Where oh where did Spur lose the plot?<br/>They used to be a great family steak house. Decent steaks, good burgers, reasonable salad bar.<br/>Now I find them over-priced, the steaks are smothered in basting sauce to add flavour to pretty otherwise tasteless steaks, and a lot of the side orders that used to come with the meal are now charged for. Such a pity
