Such a special experience having lunch in the Miz Gooz Berry / The Nest B&B garden. Berry and her husband are so warm and welcoming, all dietary needs were considered (vegan), the food was stunning and it is all so reasonably priced. We stayed elsewhere but won't miss the opportunity to stay with them next time as then we can enjoy even more of her food! We toured the accommodation and it is lovely! Thank you so much for such a gorgeous afternoon! If you don't have any other reason to visit the area, and there are plenty, coming here is worth the trip alone.
We stayed at Miz Gooz Berry/The Nest B&B this past weekend and I was blown away! We stayed in The Bird House which is just off of the main house. It is so spacious and beautifully set up. You also can't beat the view - the start of the forest and also seeing the wild horses grazing right at the front gate! Berry is such an incredible host. Her garden is so beautiful and serene. Do take the time to sit in it and enjoy the quietness of your surroundings. Berry made us feel so welcome and like we had known each other for years. Her cats are an absolute delight as well! They greeted us like we were family members. Her cooking is incredible and so delicious. I can't wait to go back!
Very friendly ladies. Lovely tea garden
In the friendly, inviting atmosphere of picturesque Kaapschehoop, sits a lovely café. Its welcoming character reflects the peaceful surroundings. Eats and sweets are prepared with quality ingredients, tasty and presented beautifully. Miz Gooz Berry ensures a relaxing, yummy experience which will make you come back again and again.
The food is incredible and very well priced. Can't wait for my next visit to the tea garden. The hosts are such kind, good hearted people who most will love instantly.
We had an amazing experience here. With a variety of cakes from the best raw tiramisu to chocolate almond cake. Definitely a must do if you visit Kapse Hoop this is a hidden gem!
Actually I do not want people to go to Mizz Gooz because I do not want the masses to come and spoil her scerene and peaceful setting. Not a place for children so I enjoyed it even more.
Now for the treats.....the trout pate.....devine. the strawberry jam......heavenly......oh, and the chocolate/coconut biscuits......to die for.
