The sushi here is absolutely great, service is five star, but quite pricey. The decor needs a little working on. The wine selection is very poor, one or two bottles of white and red wine, they have Japanese and Chinese beer though.
Got one of these for takeaway lunch absolutely stunning it was so good that my kids almost ate the plate
The sushi was freshly prepared in front of me it was quick and clean
This is the best sushi in Joburg! While the décor etc isn't spectacular, the quality of the sushi is amazing. The ingredients are always extremely fresh and you get to see your sushi being made. The perfect place for a quick bite
Great sushi at great prices. Friendly service. Been going there for years and they never let me down. I am yet to find a better sushi spot!!
Great for a pop in, quick lunch. Sushi is always of good standard. Prices are not very reasonable but definitely worth it. Very clean . Don't recommend the cashew chicken as it was bland but sushi is well worth it
This my is favorite sushi place in JHB. The service is great and you don't need to wait very long to get what you need. The fact that you can see your sushi being prepared is also an added bonus.
Went here for the first time yesterday and was really impressed. Great service (the kind of place where you feel the people working there actually get on with each other and enjoy their jobs) and nice, fresh and simple sushi.
This by far my favourite sushi spot in Johannesburg. The decor isn't great but the wide variety of fresh sushi available makes up for that. I went there on a week night and service was quick and staff were friendly.
Hello my takeaway sushi spot!
I love this little spot. It is the closest, good quality sushi spot that is near.
Personally the are 4 things I look for in a takeaway sushi spot:
• reasonable prices
• quality sushi
• sufficient rice usage (hold the rice)
• abundance in ginger (extra ginger means extra ginger)
When I find this balance, I am satisfied. 😊
Order the Lunchbox A if you're into salmon (which I am) and some california rolls and maki. It's all good.
Real sushi makes good sushi :) it's not my favourite place to go for sushi, as I've found in recent years that the sushi quality has deteriorated, albeit slightly. I get super annoyed with parking in Greenside, so for me that's a deterrent at times. The service is meh okay, but at the same time, good service is not a necessity in such a restaurant (since they only have seats around the sushi conveyor belt and you're bound to get someone's attention). They make a killerrrr egg fried rice, though I won't lie - I can feel my heart slowly frying :'D (so I don't have it often). They're closed between 3-5, so beware!
