A good place to bring young children. Service can be slow but there's plenty of fun for youngsters such as a Jungle Gym and The Kick-Ups on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There's also a bar and outside seating.

Amazing venue for a kids party. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. A huge tree creates shade and there is so much room for the kids to run. Their platters were delicious too.

Convenient parking and easy to locate - In the sports area whereabout there is time trial every Tuesday - Also, soccer lessons for the little boys. Action soccer facilities.

Little local gem of a spot. The food is fantastic and the place unassuming and simple. There is a play area for the kids and lovely to sit outside on summer evening.

Today was the Rac 10km race Iam long-distance coach . after the Race i had 12 hungry boys to fed I aked the Owner of Rustic Cafe for A complimentary meal for all Of them With out hesitation he Called his Manager and spoiled these lads i am so thankful and Greatful Michael Stefan Blunden JAC Athletics

Good value for money. Live entertainment on the first sunday of every month for lunch. Venue has cricket most summer weekends

Celebrated my birthday with a lovely lunch at The Rustic Cafe. The food was absolutely delicious!

We had an awesome lunch. Kids had a blast and we will be back for sure. Great prices too.

Have been here a few times and I must admit I find them a bit stingy when it comes to their sarmies.  The chicken mayo hardly has any chicken mayo.  I am impressed that it is free range chicken. The service is okay, some days better than others.

Rustic Cafe is by far the best sport's club restaurant I have been to. Yes they serve toasted sandwiches and burgers like other sports clubs, but they are in a totally different league. They don't serve the greasy fast food fare. The menu has a gourmet twist to every item.

We got here for pub quiz on a Friday night and it was lovely sitting outside. We had dinner and the food was good but the service even better. Such a chilled atmosphere. The food prices are also quite affordable.

I ordered a 3 bean curry wrap... This is what I got - this is terrible value for money. It was cold, and soggy. Very disappointed! For R50.00 this is all I got.

The first time I ordered chips (French fries) from Rustic, I was amazed at how well they tasted, for a "sport bar". Their coffee was really good as well, I promised myself I would come back for a meal and I did. Their menu also didn't fit the sports bar image and seemed quite friendly to childte.<br/><br/>I ordered their toasted pesto tomato and cheese sandwich with a side salad. The combination of rye bread pesto and cheese was really nice, however I found the sandwich to be a tad bit under seasoned, and the dressing that came with the salad was too sweet, had I known it would come with such a sweet dressing I would have asked for plain balsamic and vinegar.<br/><br/>My babies had the bolognaise which wasn't bad at all, a bit scarce in the mince however not bad, I love going to places where my son can have a good spaghetti bolognaise and I will definitely return for that. My daughter had their boerie roll and although she doesn't like onions which I seemed to have forgotten at their time, their "100%" beef sausage was really nice. I'm often weary to order sausages in restaurants because of their unpleasant "I'm not so fresh" taste and this one has none of it which was really nice.<br/>For deser I had their flourless cake which was very tasty<br/><br/>For a parent however I was quite disappointed with their "jungle gym" as it wasn't ideal for my 2 year old. Will definitely return and perhaps next time bring friends!

We tried these guys out purely because they are 'dog friendly', being located at a sports club. Unfortunately our waiter was terrified of dogs (we have a very friendly black Labrador). So it made for an awkward lunch... The food was ok, and coffee was good. We like the location and are often in the area, so might grab a coffee to go or a snack while walking our dog.. But probably won't be making any big lunch plans here anytime soon.

It's way better than average sports club fair. Food is brilliant. Went for quiz night tonight and they were slamed and service was atrocious. Everything we ordered wasnt avaliable so landed up having the grilled chicken breasts which were amazing. The burgers on our table were also good. <br/>A nice different stop on the joburg food scene.

This cafe is truly love, very simple concept with a rustic feel which lives up to the name. The 100% free range burger was absolutely deliciousness! the staff were very accommodating and the owner was there to explain his menu and give us some pointers. The only real downside here is for the folks facing the fields, at night the spotlights are quite blinding and only get turned off much later. The chips could also be a little softer on the inside and crunchier on the outside. All round, a lovely place for a chilled bite with friends

Had a function over the weekend at the club, with Rustic Cafe doing the catering. Kerry Gibson, the man in charge of Rustic, introduced himself and ensured that if we needed anything, we could ask him or his members of staff, who were helpful and friendly. <br/><br/>Paying a set rate per-a-head, the range of dishes, from the lamb spit-braai (delicious...many compliments during the evening on that), hot foods, salads and tasty desert were very good value for money. It's important to recognise Rustic is less flash then what you will find in Parkhurst for example (apples and oranges analogy NB to remember). It's the relaxing atmosphere and primarily the food that will make your visit very much worthwhile.

A great concept not only to cater to the more sporty human but the whole family too. Outdoor tables are well place under huge trees with a choice of inside seating in a quaint setting. Ordering a 100% free range Braeside burger with salad, resisting the chips was hard as tables nearby had some and they looked and smelt SO good! The Mauritian butterbean curry with wholewheat roti would appeal to a true tomato lover. Sadly it overpowered the dish. A first time visit and will be back to try their free range chicken dishes. A life saver for Tuesday eve time trail after run tummy filler. Staff are super friendly.

Awesome place and great food, been going since they opened however if you go now do not and I mean do not order their special pizzas, I don't think I have eaten a worse attempt of a pizza in my life

My best friend and I love coming here after a hectic day at campus. Milkshakes are a must ! They're amazing :) <br/><br/>Very homely atmosphere. Great service.

This is a great spot. Good menu, good service and pretty decor. A really nice place in Blairgowrie that is pet friendly which is cool. We were there for lunch and everyone was really happy with their meals.

I've been to the Rustic Café a few times and the service and quality of food have always been exceptional. I like that it's pet friendly as many restaurants are not.<br/>What stands out for me was my son's first birthday party, Kerry, the owner of Rustic arranged desserts for all the adults. I gave him my budget and he made it happen. <br/>I'll certainly be going there again.

Great food made with top quality ingredients and crafted into such tasty meals we can't wait to go back. Good service, super family/kid friendly setting. We will be back with reinforcements.

A lovely spot for coffee with friends or a place to work. Views of the sports field (not of a car park or mall like others) simple menu and friendly staff

Good coffee and great space for kids to run around. went for breakfast, food is not flash at all but not unpalatable. Place has great potential, if owner throws some money into a decent seating area and adds a few touches to the food it would fly.

Nice Rustic food, just as promised. The owner also made time to come and say hello, a nice personal touch. All in all a good experience and nice venue setting where kids and dogs can run around while you enjoy your food.
