Great little pub with a tangible feeling of “history”. Barman seemed a little surprised that we were there for lunch (just before 13:00), but the burgers were delicious. Word has it that the vibe picks up significantly later in the day. Menu is relatively limited but adequate.

Had an unexpectedly awesome time at this spot. The vibe is amazing, people and the place is too cool.
They have a great selection of beers, they had 3 different cocktails (managed to get to them all 😊) and mouth-watering mini-meals, ribs wings, you name it 👌🏽.
On my next visit, I'll definitely bring in a few friends for a chill. Thanks for an excellent service, and groovy music 💯💯.

Kitcheners (as the locals call it) is the ideal bar for experiencing the inner Johannesburg city culture... the multi racial/cultural vibe will see you having your best time ever. The diverse music genre is amazing😁🕺🏾... oldest bar in the city; still most amazing 🤌🏽

Such a cool place, with amazing music (regardless of the time of day). The staff is super friendly and you will always find interesting and welcoming people. Had their fries, tasty af. Wing portions are also lit. Would recommend.

My visit to JHB would have been a disaster if i didn't make it here. The music is always great, the people are always a nice vibe and it really is the best spot to chill after a long day at work. Nice sundowners and turn up nights. All in all a great place.

Fantastic music and cozy ambiance, it's like that very successful house party. The best place to let loose , dance and great conversations. Great place for over 40s too !! It closes at 4am, so ends up being the after party for all outings... Everyone ends up at Kitchiner's from student to A-lister!

This is a great place to have fun with your friends. You mostly going to be surrounded by hipsters (which is cool). Wear your 90s clothing and go straight to Kitchener's and have fun. Entrance is free during the day until 8 p.m
