For the past 3 years I have being ordering both my daughter and sons birthday cakes from Mark at Corner Cafe. What a pleasure! No hassles, delicious cake, the cakes come out beautifully in their designs and exactly what I've ordered. They never disappoint and always have the cakes ready on time!! Thank you so much Mark and your amazing team (including Elaine) for the wonderful service and always making sure both my kids have the best parties because of their beautiful cakes!!!

Lovely little local spot to go for lunch or coffee. They made amazing ice cream cakes too and have ordered more than once for my children's birthday parties
I love going to Corner Cafe for a cappucino and a pizza bagel. Although they are no longer on their menu, do yourself a favour and get a roast vegetable pizza bagel. So divine! Great vibe, so nice sitting outside, really friendly staff who are sometimes a bit slow.

Corner Cafe aptly named and situated is fast becoming a Johannesburg institution in my eating explorations.
As it is a highly frequented breakie spot usually their outside tables are taken however their inside is lovely too with their creative and quirky decor. Even their lavatories are decorated with thought.
Their current breakfast special; Harissa Bacon, Creme Fraiche with Chives, Rocked and Poached Eggs (R63) is so incredibly moreish and tasty, it is hard not to lick the plate. Should you prefer something healthier you can opt for the Health Sundae (R50) or create your own breakfast. Wash it all down with a refreshing apple, cucumber and mint juice or indulge in a velvety latte (R19).
For the late night revelers who break fast at noon or just regular lunch lovers, their diverse menu offers something for everyone. However their small pizza selection yet cleverly chosen flavour combinations deserve attention. Their freshly made pasta also looks enticing. Alternatively sample their wicked sandwiches which are served all day.
You have to have the salmon poached eggs! Great weekend breakfast joint, gets busy but they always have soace to squeeze a couple people in.
