Nando's

I went to the Nandos at the Glen on a Friday night, being a public holiday weekend and thought why not?!!
There were so many other variety of places to eat at, including the newly renovated Mimmo's in the complex, but thought i needed a quick meal before i headed back home.

I did not wait long to be served, placing my order and waited for my food to arrive. I had ordered the Veg burger combo, with chips and a can of coke. I thought it being a public holiday weekend that the food will be served timely and that i would not have to wait long. Needless to say 10minutes later my food arrived.

Now, i had asked them to cook/ grill my burger patty a little longer then normal, but it seems that my pattie came back as just as being 'burnt'. The chips seemed like it just came out of the frier, as the evident greasy marks of the oil were apparent. What i didnt like was those 'stompie' pieces of chips you sometimes get with your order, which seemed it was part of the fry in the last order, i just brushed this aside in the side plate.

Not Nando's on its menu said there veg burger has a new receipe. Sadly i cant see the difference from 6 months ago.
The chips adding spice and salt to it, was edible thou i still felt it was underfried. I dont know what the industry standard is about frying 'rozen potato chips' but feel that the starch is always under cooked.

The burger was fine, and the rest of the chips too. Overall a decent experience, with friendly staff and a manager that overseas the kitchen and floor activities.

I would love to eat the same veg burger patty they serve in the Nando's in UK and especially in London, but guess its because no one knows the difference.

The store is really beautiful, the decor inside is exquisite but the service I received was far from the being as beautiful as the place. The doors were open, it was past the normal opening time as boldly written on the doors but I and other customers were turned away being told the store is still closed

great settings , food is consistent , it’s usually not too crowded and a great place to sit down for a meal

You've got to love their fast services and the Mozan Paprika flavour as a cherry on top.
