Fantastic breakfast menu variety and the food was excellent (and decently priced).
It's much quieter than some of the other coffee venues on that strip of road and the location is full of character.
The people were friendly, coffee was good and we will definitely be back again.
The shop also sells home cooked frozen meals (single portions or family sized).
The coffee shop is inside a building with a very interesting market that's worth a look around.

A hidden gem, amazing service, food delicious and fresh, coffee is great. French toast is an absolute favorite, never disappointed. Plenty space and distancing between tables. Variety of dishes for everyone. Don't wait a long time to be assisted or served.

I often get a takeaway breakfast bun from The Foyer Coffee Shop. I tried the sit down breakfast today and it was delicious. Smoked salmon, poached egg on a hash brown with smashed avo. The coffee is great too.

It's on Tyrone Avenue. Parkview. In a small building that used to be a movie Theatre but turned into a trinket, vintage, Furniture and African attires Lake side Market. Doesn't overlook Zoo lake but it's 3 streets up.

Amazing little restaurant. Owner / Managers were super accommodating. Waiter was extremely efficient and friendly. A little cold but owners did their best to secure us a warm spot. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced.

The Foyer Coffee shop is a well loved local coffee shop, very reasonably priced menu with everything you could need. Warm, friendly service from the staff and owner. Attached to the coffee shop is a home industry section with an assortment of cakes, biscuits, frozen savoury dishes and snacks. Cakes made to order as well as speciality breads, like Low Gi. A gem for the immediate neighbourhood and greater Johannesburg.

Had a lovey breakfast with hubby one morning after dropping the kids at school. It was peaceful and relaxing. I had the toasted tuna sandwich and he had the cheeza which was delicious. Cappuccino and strawberry juice was refreshing.
Always popping in to get delicious cakes and biscuits. Yummy treats.

Lovely small and cosy little coffee shop in the heart of Parkview. A home away from home. Delicious breakfasts, light lunches, pies, wrapps, quiches, soups and hot specials daily. The best red velvet and chocolate fudge in town! Warm and friendly service. Delicious coffee. Kiddies menu. Incorporating a home industry with a variety of cakes, precooked meals, biscuits , birthday cakes, party platters and more. Lovely place, well worth a visit!

Had breakfast here yesterday and it was quite disappointing. The service was so slow, we had to actually get up to find our waitress on more than on occasion. They were not attentive at all. The food also took very long. <br/><br/>I had a red cappuccino which wasn't great. For mains I had the cheesa, which was bland and below average. My mum had an open toast which she didn't enjoy. Wouldn't recommend either of those dishes. <br/><br/>Overall, a cute spot with slow service and overpriced, average food. Probably wouldn't return but the cakes do look good.

This is a no-fuss-no-muss kind of place ☕️ The Foyer has been a Parkview staple for many years and it provides delicious & simple meals at very reasonable prices. The ambience is friendly and the service is quick and never without a smile 😊 If your looking for a quick, reliable, delicious and well-prices bite to eat, this should be your go-to (my whole meal came to R60.. Including tip!) I love The Foyer & no one will ever beat their Chicken Mayo toaster 😉

While this is a charming little coffee shop, it is sadly let down by its location. Many of the establishments on this strip suffer from the same problem- a lack of natural light. This coffee shop is always dark and a bit gloomy and, more sadly still, the service I've gotten here has matched the general atmosphere. <br/>However, the coffee is quite good and they do have some lovely baked treats like lovely cupcakes which are great to buy for a picnic or birthday party.

Was on my way to work when I saw the Foyer was open & as I needed to buy cake, I stopped in.<br/>What a delight - I ordered a take-away coffee which was made just as I had asked including having the sugar added. The waitresses were efficient and lovely - it was no trouble for them to help me carry my cakes to the car.<br/>Coffee rated excellent - service exceptional .. I think I'll go back for my coffee, it got my morning off to a brilliant start !
