We ordered iskender kebab, a chicken pide, and schwarmas , with ayran (salted lassi) and cherry juice to drink. The food was served with complimentary salads. We didn't have to wait long, considering that the restaurant was busy. I will definitely return.
So today we decided to grab lunch at Turkish Kebab, the Service was unkind today unfortunately, however the food was great so I'll definitely be back again whenever I'm in the area...
They make the best shawarma or Doner gyro or what you call this turning around meat , in South Africa . The owner Burhan is going back to Turkey very soon . So hurry up and enjoy the last days , try

Early dinner at the Turkish kebab house in mayfair. Abit of a dodgy street but by far my favourite takeaway place.
The traditional Turkish food includes homemade shish kebab, doner, humus and Turkish meatballs. The food is all made fresh in front of you and the meat is sliced fresh off the fire.
Usually about R250 for 2 people, with fresh food and large portions this little spot is a real gem.
The area as mentioned is abit dodge and the overall decor and feel of the shop isn't much but still today havnt had takeaways I enjoy more.
If anyone is will to take a drive out to mayfair area I'd definitely suggest this little shop, in terms of taste and quality definitely 5/5
This is my favourite Turkish restaurant in Johannesburg. There aren't many to begin but this place is really great. The food is delicious, bottomless tea on the house. No alcohol served here, obviously, but who needs it when the food is this great. Food comes quickly but it can be challenging to get the attention of a waiting staff. The restaurant is usually busy and they close early so be sure to check times and get there early as they often run out of food. Normally that might be a complaint but I think that's how I want my restaurant food to be, freshly cooked on the day, only as needed and if you don't make it in time, hard luck. I recommend the meat platters but really you can't go wrong here. Don't forget to have the Turkish coffee which is delicious (if it's your first time, stop when you get to the sediment. Yes it is meant to have sediment at the bottom). This place right here is one of Jo'burg's hidden gems. Make a plan to come here.
You hardly find that delicious food even in Turkey. It is not a fancy Restourant but food makes you happy. Doner Kebab( shwarma) is the best. Don't forget to try.

Fantastic food, the best Doner I’ve had in Jozi, and complimentary Turkish tea after dinner. Sure, not cheap - but, not madly overpriced either, and I felt I got my money’s worth.
Ps - BEST hummus EVER - an order I was happy I made to accompany some traditional flatbread.
Went here recently for my birthday. We ordered the mix grill for four, lahmachun, Ayran and Sutlac for dessert. Firstly, the lahmachun was just out of this world, I couldn’t believe how good it was. The mix grill was too die for, everything expertly grilled and super tasty with minimal spices to show case the meat. Funny enough, the kofte was surprisingly the best thing on the plate, absolutely stunning and to die for. Everything else was still very very good. Best part was the portion size, we were a party of four but even ate the meal for supper (leftovers) and still had some left for the next day. The Ayran came a beer mug, it was quite big and great value for money, a bit watered down but it needed to be like that, in fact enjoyed it better like that with the meal. The sutlac dessert was also good and by the end of the meal we were proper full and satisfied. Not the cheapest place but well worth every penny and perfect for the special occasions. Definitely recommend this place.

Atmosphere is only 4 stars because it was before lunch and I'm sure is amazing when busy. Went in for a quick Doner Wrap which was very delicious. Very clean restaurant with very polite and helpful waitresses. Turkish supermarket has fresh baklava on the go as well as all the items you would expect. Safe parking right outside the restaurant.

This is the best Turkish kebap house in Jnb. Also you can buy Turkihs food as well. You can try doner, Adana kebap and lahmacun there. You definetely will like them. You can drink salgam as well if you like little hot drinks try it.
Will definitely be dining in next time. The food was incredible, we ordered Doner Wrap and Chicken Wrap....the salads and sauces were fresh and tasted great. Affordable in comparison to the Melrose Arch Turkish restaurant....will try the Baklava and other baked goodies next time, it all looked delicious.
