Love the place,Still to complete rest of the artwork, convenient and friendly owner!!
I consider myself somewhat of a "Breakfast food" connoisseur, and good Lord I just had the best croissant I've had in a VERY long time!
This place is one of my favorite cafes they make the best eggs Benedict... Coffee is amazing and food is consistent and reasonably priced food is always fresh
A cute spot in Linden for a nice breakfast item such as croissants and yummy bread. Good prices and easy service at the counter or waiter. Comfy outside seating also available.
My absolute favorite bakery in Joburg! It’s great for a relaxed Sunday coffee and breakfast or a quick takeaway croissant. The almond- and chocolate croissants are the best, not to mention the pecan nut pies and custard slices! Definitely a guilty pleasure with a smile
The breakfasts & sandwiches are ok however the baked good are phenomenonal! Croissants, pecan nut pie and brownies are 10/10 (best in Johannesburg)
Food was quite good. It was tasty, but I found the English muffin very hard and the tomato was quite chewy. The rest of my family had a good time though, which matters most to me. Service was quite slow. So you are probably wondering why I gave it 4 ⭐️. One word... CROISSANTS. Their bakery looks like heaven and they serve very good drinks. Recommend it just for a cup of hot cocoa and pastries.
We always get great service and decent quality food and portions here. The staff are also really friendly. They never have an issue with substituting stuff on their meals for me to accommodate me being vegetarian. Considering the location, the menu and the portion sizes, their prices really are a steal.
Best chocolate croissants ever ! It’s such a lovely little place and the staff are so friendly. Not to mention that the chocolate croissants are filled with delicious chocolate that melts in your mouth . Definitely worth a stop.
By default mysef and my wife's weekend Breakfast,Brunch,Lunch stop.Ambience is fantastic, food is extremely tasty and well prepared, coffee out of of this world.Due to the good food and ambience it goes without saying that this place gets busy very quickly but the service received from the waiters remian exceptional.I cannot visit them without having a Marrakesh or two or three... (you get the picture).Great value for money and one of my favourite coffee/artisan bakeries in the Linden area.
Went for breakfast. I had the omlette with bacon, chorizo, etc and my friend had the eggs Benedict. The omlette was huge and delicious. The eggs Benedict was somewhat disappointing insofar as it was 2 eggs on a plate with hollandaise sauce so I shared my omelette. The cupachino was excellent and the service was great. I heard that they are well known for their chocolate croissants so I took two as a takeaway for someone else, who told me that they certainly lived up to their reputation. A lovely place all in all
Saturday morning and the place is pumping with post-parkrunners. There's still space both outside - which feels a little chilly - and inside. We sit in the draught of the doorway but we're soon warmed by nice-enough cappuccinos.
The table orders scrambled eggs. Not me though. The eggs come with toast or croissants. My friend doesn't want her accompanying croissant. I opt for it. I'm a cheap date.
It takes a while for the order to get to the table. When it does, the eggs look like they've been standing a while and are cold but all is pronounced delicious. My croissant is heavenly.
Now the place is full. Moms with prams, grannies and grandpas. Two ladies wait in the doorway. The staff quickly accommodate them by rearranging tables.
The eggs not quite filling the gap, Jonah orders a pastry filled with chocolate. It's huge. He offers. It looks amazing but I decline.
We leave the boys with their pastry and a chessboard (provided by management) to go on a mission.
