Blu Bird Fournos - Stunning place with really friendly and helpful staff. When my hubby and l were there a little while back, we had a waitress who was totally on the ball and honest about the various aspects of our meal.
The manager who was on duty kept a tight but very friendly ship. Her staff seem to enjoy working with her!

Great Italian "bar e negozio di alimentari". A smart cafe and combined specialist food store who make their own wonderful pasta and sauces. Which you can eat there, or take away, to prepare yourself, later. Great coffee, too and wonderful friendly people. In a pretty little shopping centre that''s quite delightful itself. Recommend.

Charged for a wine at a cost over 3 times you would pay in a liquor store for. - 110 vs 365 - at the price of a bottle of wine we ordered that was not available- yet charged the same price<br/>Mediocre food<br/>Indifferent staff<br/>Bought a basil pesto in the deli marked at R52 but charged R99 as the pesto had been marked incorrectly. <br/>An absolute rip off.

I ordered an Uber Eats delivery to the office. <br/>I had the salami sandwich, which sounded yummy on the menu. <br/><br/>Unfortunately my meal arrived in my “takeaway arch nemesis”, the unbranded, non descriptive, scrunched up, uninspiring, white plastic packet!! Aaargh!<br/><br/>The sandwich itself was in an aluminium dish. The salami milanese cold meat was flavourful and I could just make it out on the sandwich. The emmental cheese was just distinguisable, the pesto mayonnaise was overpowering and the “rocket?” I could of done without. There was no cucumber with my carrot side. <br/><br/>Overall the sandwich was ok and functionally filled my hunger pangs. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, having spent some time in Italy, but not the worst either.

Now here is an Italian restaurant with a difference! It isn't your run of the mill trattoria. It has a lot of dishes that you don't find in many other Italian restaurants, but what I really love about it, is the homemade taste to everything, the authenticity of it, and the very fresh ingredients. When I went there last I had the carbonara pasta---I have never had carbonara like this!!!! And I had canoli--and wow! The owner's nona would be proud! Its just so natural, so authentic, so...so truly Italian!!!!!

I love this place! Not only for the extensive menu but the fact that everything is clearly labelled with vegetarian and vegan options- life is so much simpler! Being vegan I love this. The mushroom pasta is outstanding (vegan) and the Neapolitan is too. Service is very good, the owners are never too far away which I really like.

A tiny little Italian cafe. It has really good cured meats. I would not however sit in for breakfast. What a disappointment. Really basic menu which is fine if you could get the meals prepared well. My eggs were poached in undiluted vinegar, you could smell it as they brought it to the table and they still served it. Had to send it back and get fried eggs. Not a place I would ever try again for breakfast.

What a fantastic little place! The food is authentic Italian and prepared with fresh ingredients full of flavour, and the menu offered a wide variety. Staff was friendly and service excellent. Loved the rustic Italian decor - reminded me of being in Italy. I'll surely be back soon to try other of their amazing dishes. To end off the meal the Segafreddo espresso was made to perfection - strong and creamy - served with homemade Italian crostoli which were out of this world! My new favourite lunch spot.

Mafiosi has just opened up recently in Blu-Bird centre. We decided to have the lasagne and one of the Ciabatta sandwiches. The pasta was well baked and the meat and cheese were generous, which made for a tasty dish. The Ciabatta was fresh and the fillings were delicious!<br/>Definitely worth a try!

This little treasure is tucked away in a corner within Blubird shopping centre.<br/><br/>After ordering we were offered a complimentary bread basket which reminded be so much of being in Italy. Three different types including grissini. The olive oil was also spectacular!<br/><br/>We had an array of pasta dishes: beef lasagne, penne bolognese, spaghetti carbonara and my favorite of all (my dish) was the spaghetti formaggio - taleggio, Gorgonzola and parmigiano, walnuts and nutmeg *mind blown*.<br/><br/>The deli counter also stocks different cheeses and cold meats as well as imported Italian goods.<br/>Mafiosi is a definite must!
