Such awesome people!
Great vibe even on a Sunday morning.
The art is next level. Street photographer's dream with all the characters walking around.
Good coffee at Home of the Bean.
Good security.
A bit of clean up needed on roads.
Fun experience. There are a lot of different restaurants to choose from based on your personal vibe and budget. The precinct caters for everyone. A definite must visit with your friends.
The vibiest safest place in the east of jozi. Very popular and LGBT+ friendly. Tourists love this place and if you got some Tourist cliché stuff to sell I highly recommend opening a roadside stall and exhibit your business.
Love this place. It's filled with vibrant people and positive energy
This place has a great vibe and awesome peopleThe art is next level. This will be a photogragher's dream with all the characters walking around.
The security is good so you can feel. safe.
Great vibes ✅
Less crime ✅
Police 👮♀️ officers everywhere ✅ for safety
Great marketing team✅ they can influence you to purchase their items and take photographs.
I ended up buying this beautiful shades and taking photographs 😂😂😂❤️❤️
I just love Maboneng 💡💡💡💡
Loved the art in the area. I consider walking around Maboneng safe! So you don't necessarily need a guide and you can just follow the green 'M' signs. I did find a guide quite nice to learn more about the area though.
It's a very nice place to be at especially at night 👌👌👌
Looks good. It's a very busy place. Parking can be a bit of a challenge.
Great night life clubs its a vibe but no secure parking ,security is not enough and useless outside the clubs. Take care of ur phone here especially at night
The vibe here is amazing. We booked accomodation through AirBnB, that helped in getting the best pictures in the morning when its all quieter. You can walk around to buy art pieces, clothes, different dishes.
You like it or you don't 🤗 Very local District, but fantastic african food and nice people
A very nice place to meet friends, socialize and explore. for content lovers: there’s a wide range of restaurants offering different foods and drinks, art galleries and boutique shops. Talk about positive vibes, good energy and a perfect escape. You can not come to Jozi and not visit Maboneng
it's always a vibe when I am go there , I've even gone consecutively, amazing place, amazing crowd, new spots I went to living something something club.. green all over , great food and nice cocktails. lovely views from the rooftop.
It's three weeks after the devastating xenophobic attacks, looting and vandalism that ravished central Jozi, and the businesses in Maboneng are feeling the ill effects. It's a troublesome before and after picture with the once bustling streets now left pretty empty. The owner at local headshop TK Smoking despondently related how the tourists are scared, and customers are few and far between. Broken and boarded up windows await repair just a block away from the main strip.
At no time during our weekend in Maboneng did it ever feel unsafe. People are friendly. There is security keeping an eye out. The food is as good as ever. The live reggae band at Pata Pata was vibing. The food is as good as ever. Now all that is needed is the return of the hipsters.
Come on, folks! If you are looking for something fun to do, I recommend going to support the businesses in Maboneng.
