The Milk Bar - Johannesburg - Photo album

A delightful brunch spot. Items on the menu are slightly different to a conventional breakfast and we took a while to choose. We were not disappointed. SO tasty! We had the sweet potato toast and the bacon, egg and cheese sarmie. We will definitely be returning! Yum 😋
Colour. Everywhere. It's my favourite thing about this place. Food: I ordered a boerewors roll with potato wedges (it came highly recommended by our waiter) – unfortunately, it was too hyped up. I was expecting a delicious, juicy boerie roll, but it was quite dry. Dashed their sauce onto it and it s
This place is amazing! Service superb. Innovative breakfast choices. Atmosphere and décor a treat.
Great tasting food. I especially loved the Steak flatbread. Service is awesome. I recommend you book a table place is popular.

Great place for a coffee and lunch. Very nice and extensive menu and very helpful staff
Wow. Just Wow. The decor is eclectic and artfully arranged but it's the food; the delicious food, that will have your eyes rolling back in your head. I had this amazing breakfast dish that was a filet of sweet potato, topped off with fresh avocado and the sunniest of sunny side up eggs I've ever see
Good coffee and fantastic decor.
Lovely place. Beautiful decor. African theme but not tacky. Great hosts. But could do a bit better with the food considering it wasn't too busy when we were there.
We arrived an hour before closing and the staff seated us with a smile and treated us as if we had all night. The food was well presented, fresh, tasty and the portions were generous. Try the delicious "vetkoek".

These guys want you to have a great experience and will go the extra mile to make sure it happens. It's also a p
Sitting opposite the Everard Read and next to the Circa Galleries, this is a nice spot to stop at after spending time with the artworks. Coffee and cakes are passable, or you could go into a full meal which is more their line. Oddly for a spot called the Milk Bar, it doesn't serve any milk products!
I've never been disappointed with the food at Milkbar. I've always found t to be packed with flavour but unassumingly simple. A lot of effort has gone into the look and feel of Milkbar, as an Afrocentric themed, plant filled restaurant. It enhances the experience and always brings out new details. T
Vibey AF! Wow! What an enjoyable time was had by all! Visited milk bar at a first Thursdays event! The atmosphere was electric! So many millenial and indigo folk of all races and sexual orientation & freely expressing themselves authentically! You have to experience this beautiful clutural revolutio
Great cake! They'll give you your own heater. The decor is very cool and gave the place a warm character.
