Hidden little restaurant in Norwood, right on Grant avenue. Perfect, cozy ambience. Huge portions. Great prices. This is only 1 portion of starter mussels for only R80. Omg😍
This was my first time going to Cosa Nostra, and I must say I was impressed! The food was very quick and really good, the service was also excellent. The manager even offered us a coffee on the house! Where do you get that these days? Everyone that works there is very friendly and pleasant. The price was also reasonable. It’s your typical Italian restaurant, which is a good thing! I definitely recommend Cosa Nostra.
The best Alfredo I’ve ever had (with extra bacon), the simple checkered table cloths, Italian music and Salvatore the owner make for a real relaxed, authentic Italian vibe.
An authentic Italian hang out - my father used to visit his fellow Italian countrymen here and have a bite or two while catching up. In my book they make the best pizza in Joburg. I always have their vegetarian pizza because it's simply delicious.
Looks unpromising from the outside but don't let looks deceive you! The food is fabulous! Authentic Italian restaurant, chilled and simple but delicious cuisine!
So i have been coming to Cosa Nostra for 13 years. I am a REAL Italian from Milan. You come here mainly for pizza, pasta, lasagne and Parma ham. When have have your pizza ask for it the "Carlo" way, a plain margherita with fiordilatte mozzarella and basil. You won't be disappointed...
Very casual and warm type of atmosphere, where the regulars come to socialise. Prices are reasonable and portions generous.
I have eaten here in the past and the meals were pretty average, but this time the food and service has definitely improved and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
I had the Veal Piccata which was cooked in a creamy, mushroom and tomato sauce, really delicious and was served with a nice selection of veggies. My BF had the Veal Marsala also delicious with the same selection of veggies.
We ended the meal off with a Don Pedro, came in a huge glass, brain freeze, but worth it.
Service is good and waitresses friendly.
The food is exceptional! Pizza was absolutely fantastic while the veal was melt in your mouth. The only thing that can improve would be the service. There are many servers available, yet they don't seem willing to assist on other's tables.

For the full Italian experience including 'Ciao Bella's, 'Bonjourno's and an authentic Italian ambiance, this is the place!! It's like stepping into a little piece of Italy and you almost feel like when you leave, you'll be stepping out onto a piazza! The pizza's are, in my opinion, reminiscent of the old La Mama that used to be on Corlett Drive many years ago! Thin based, but soft and doughy, not crunchy as many places make them. Very generous toppings. They also provide warm Italian bread before your meal. The menu is a traditional Italian restaurant menu - no attempts at any new-fangled pretentiousness. It is what it is! Warm, friendly and welcoming.
The definition of cute little Italian place. The sangria is awesome. Staff extreamly friendly and food is really good. Good place for a sunday night meal
