Love the food! My place of choice for my weekly cheat meal and I’m never disappointed! I recently met the new manager at Greenside, Thomas, and I must say... wow! He is such a hardworking, and wonderful person! He brings such a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
What an awesome restaurant! The service was phenomenal and the food was reasonably priced for the large portion sizes. I love that there is such a variety of choices on the menu - at least 10 burgers each for beef, chicken, lamb, ostrich and vegetarian options. The milkshakes were divine, and again, reasonably priced for what you get. I can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu.
Visited Dukes Burgers for the 2nd time today. Went with 5 of our friends. I love the ambience of this restaurant, especially the back area. I ordered a steelworks for my drink and a burchetta burger, both were great. However, halfway through my meal a fly flew into and drowned in my drink which I only sipped 1/3 of. I told the waitress and she apologised even though I didn’t blame her for it since it was no ones fault and she changed the drink.
When the bill came I noticed that she charged me for 2 steelworks. I was a bit disappointed as I only drank 1/3 of my first drink and a flu flew into it , she took it away and brought me a new one so surly I should have only been charged for one. I really enjoyed my food and the company so I was in no mood to argue or question her so I just paid for both but I wish the minor matter could’ve been handled without even having to think about it.
Burgers are really good here... Nice chilled vibe in the outside area.
Jo'burg has a wide variety of restaurant selection. From Indian to mexican to american, you name it and it's there. So this was a place where my colleagues and my farewell from Jo'burg. Of course as I was new to this city, I just had to trust my friend's instinct (who is from Jo'burg).
They have a huge selection of burgers to choose from - lamb, chicken, ostrich (first time for me :P), beef (of course, what is a burger without a hefty beef patty). We went for the Fire Starters and Mr Potato Head to begin with. I went for the The Big Cheese and my friend devoured the Sloppy Joe.
Burgers are huge and filling. If you love burgers, this is your joint.

Great restaurant with a variety of burgers to choose from which allows you to explore your tastebuds. I definitely enjoyed my meal and I’m definitely planning on coming back. The ambiance is enjoyable with a pleasurable staff.
The place is really cool. The burgers are good, well prepared. All burgers come with chips/wedges and they’re are enough.
The menu is very wide and gives options, they describe what’s in the burger on the menu.
The vibe is awesome, even the place is not that big but there is still room for some peace and quiet.
Dukes is a staple restaurant. If you’re ever in Greenside, in the mood for a burger and in doubt of what restaurant to go to your best bet will be Dukes - it won’t disappoint.
They have great food that isn’t overpriced and once you’ve eaten you know you have gotten your money’s worth.
Went out last night for a get together. And the lady that helped us was really helpful and so friendly. After a long day of work, this place really sets a relaxing atmosphere accompanied with a very tasty Chicken burger and chips.
