Absolutely brilliant! We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary at DW Eleven-13, 5 years ago- it was fantastic, FIVE years later we came back and celebrated out TENTH wedding anniversary there again, for sentimental reasons. Usually after such a long time restaurants don’t manage to keep up the standard, but this is definitely not the case with this restaurant. We had an absolutely amazing evening, the food was perfect, We had an even better experience this time than 5 years ago. I simply cannot fault this place. All the staff are very knowledgeable on all the dishes, Management is fantastic, great wine and whiskey on offer. Attention to detail is impeccable and the service is perfect. Thank you to all the staff for keeping this restaurant at its peak. Well done! We will definitely be returning more often!

First time here and we loved it. Beautiful, considered, balanced flavours. The tasting menu made for an excellent night out with lots to discuss. Service was just the right balance of attentive and not intrusive. The sommelier was excellent. My only slight dissatisfaction (and I mean slight) was that the amuse bouche (all except the fantastic anchovy toast) and the friandise were nowhere near as good as the courses. After the amuse bouche I thought we were going to be disappointed for the price. Luckily we were not at all disappointed and we will be back! The guava sorbet with goats cheese snow and the caramel butter were two of the best things I’ve eaten. Beautiful! Thank you.
Try before you die!
For me, the best in Joburg. Ideal for special occasions. Went for the Wine paring option, enjoyed it a great deal. The service was impeccable, waiter were very attentive and professional. It was slightly difficult to get a booking but not bad, worth the wait.
A special treat for a special celebration. Martinus personally and proudly reviews his food he serves. There is a food and wine pairing or a non alcoholic pairing.Portions are small, but after 8 plates of hand made, attention to detail tasty cuisine, you are fully satisfied.Take your time to enjoy.Highly recommended.
I've been to DW a few times now and I have never been disappointed. The scenery of the location might not be the greatest as you enter but if you're willing to overlook that and focus on the experience and the food, this restaurant will fall nothing short of amazing. The staff are beyond hospitable and extremely accommodating. The food was out of this world and I would say that if you're truly a foodie, this is definitely a place you have to try out. The setting is quite intimate, so make sure you have good company. 100% worth the splurge.
