A family run generational business and service was friendly and welcoming .I tasted fish, calamari and chips .Fish so tender it fell away easily as well as calamari soft .
The most amazing fish I have ever had! First time in a long time I've actually finished my fish! Chips were perfect and so was my calamari! Everything including the chips were fresh and full of taste. Amazing customer service, the owner is the most friendly guy I've had serve me. Will definitely be seeing me everytime I visit Jeffreys!
Very fresh fish and calamari. Real old school type take away. Lots of character. The attention is all in the food. Great to find an old local establishment to support.
If you are a local, I hear this is your first choice for take aways. Food prep takes quite some time, but its worth it, however deep fried prawns dont to it for me. Wont have it ever again. Calamari and fish is very fresh and tasty though. Sit down if you are in a hurry, but we chose to take it home to enjoy with our own choice of wine and a view.
I had prawns and chips. The prawns were fresh and yummy. The chips were proper slap chips, but nicely browned - how I prefer them and so tasteful! I ordered their tartar sauce and it's definitely one of thee best I've had! Family shared hake, calamari & Russian and while I can't comment of taste, they all looked divine. Please is a tiny take away with no seating inside but a few basic tables on the outside on the main road of Jeffery's which ain't great. So don't go here hoping for setting or a view of beach. Maybe take it down and enjoy at beach. We would have, but it was windy and chilly so we opted to eat at their outside table. While there, saw quite a few groups of teenage girls ordering...must be popular with the youngsters - affordable good quality fast foods :-)

The best fish & chips you'll find! This is real old school proper fish & chips - we moved to PE from Cape Town and after trying more than 10 fish & chip places we gave up on finding proper "cape town" fish & chips - but Trawlers blew us away with the real deal! Will happily drive from PE to Jbay just for this fish& chips .
Well done to the team here , chips and fiah cooked perfectly, not overly oily , not shy with the salt & vinegar and affordable prices! Plus the lady that takes orders in the front is friendly and greets customers as they enter .
